A: Hello, I believe you are referring to labels that are stuck to our furniture. It's a law called California's Proposition 65 that makes all furniture manufacturers based in California to put this warning label on the furniture. This warning label can be found on many kind of products, such as electrical wires, jewelry, padlocks, dishes, and flashlights to name just a few. It doesn't mean that the furniture actually causes cancer; it just says that a chemical formaldehyde is used in manufacturing the furniture and may cause cancer (e.g., if swallowed). Our furniture is compliant with California 93120 for formaldehyde phase 2. 93120 is about how much formaldehyde is off gassed from a product at 73 degrees. California has very strict rules when it comes to manufacturing home use products and our furniture is compliant with all of them.

Assembling Problems
I ordered these chairs twice. The first time the holes did not align to put in the screw. The second set had the same issue it was off by a bit. One chair moves and is not centered. The second chair had a small tear on the top. I loved the style but spend the extra money and get something assembled already. This is not my first time assembly things so it was not a user problem!! I even asked my family to help and they told me to return them I did not listen....

Of course it was the assembly of the first chair that had it's difficulties with lining up the seat holes to the back of chair holes! Lol Eventually we got it. Second chair assembled in less than 10 minutes. These are good solid chairs. 4 stars instead of 5 because 1 chair seat has less padding than the other and is not as comfortable.

Loved them before, Love them now!
We just purchased a new home and hated to get rid of our old set we purchased from Target 6-7 years ago but we wanted something with a shorter back. I searched and searched and could not find anything I liked.....I kept thinking back to how comfortable and sturdy and the quality we enjoyed with the old ones. Then I came across these wonderful chairs. We bought 2 sets and they are everything we had hoped for. When you find a winning product, its good to know you can replace it years later.

I am very disappointed and will likely have to pitch these and buy something else as I bet I will not be able to return. At first glance, the items looks good as you take it out of the box. Assembly is another story. I have put a good number of items together in my life time and these by far are the most difficult. The screws to hold the crossbar piece in are long ( as the should be), but they cannot be installed with the screw driver that was provided. The use of a power tool is required and even that will not drive the screw into the leg. As you try to screw the bar in, it pushes the bar further out of the leg. Of course the finish on the legs is easily damaged. I would NOT recommend these unless you have a professional to assemble. But maybe I somehow received a defective pair of stools. I did ask someone with more strength than I have and they could not get these put together either.

The chairs were packed very well, with foam sheets, cloth covers and all the hardware was included. The Chairs are great quality, sturdy and comfortable for the price. Assembly got easier with every chair (I bought four). I suggest you spray WD40 on the bolts and in the threaded holes. Makes tightening much easier.

I love how these stools turned out. They looked beautiful after assembly. The only con was that they were NOT easy to put together. It took me about 45 minutes per chair. One chair was uneven/wobbly even after using their "drop-the-chair" method several times to try to fix it. I ended up putting a little thicker felt chair pad underneath one of the legs to fix the problem...I didn't want to have to return just one chair, especially after spending so much time putting them together. They feel very sturdy, and I am happy with them now!

Absolutely pleased with this purchase! Did it sight unseen and took the gamble..... paid off perfectly. Here’s how:
1.Ivory color is definitely creamy and NOT white, so imagine the photo creamier, not bright or even dull white.
2. Found these chairs on other “discount” home goods websites. Almost bought from another company, but did a little searching and Target had the EXACT same chairs ( not a cheaper version).
3. However, Target WAS less expensive AND these were coming up on sale AND as a Red Card holder, I took another 5% off AND they shipped for free AND IF we didn’t like them, we could return to our local target store.
4. Chairs are so comfy with plenty of cushion on seat and back!
5. Chairs are sturdy. They will not knock over or slide across the floor like a piece of paper. They have an expensive feel!
