I was wanting to love these barstools, I liked the style, loved the price... but HATED how rough they were... they'd absolutely snag all of my pants if I had kept them. If you had the time/energy/patience to sand them and seal the top I'm sure they'd be great. So if you love the style, and want to put a bit of sweat equity into them go for it... if you want to start using them ASAP i wouldn't unless you only wear super thick denim/construction work pants.
