Any amount of any residue on your hands that is even slightly oily or greasy will leave a really obvious stain on this material. I’d have a much higher review if it had fabric upholstery instead of faux leather. I don’t enjoy washing them with a soapy paper towel after every single use just because I was wearing lotion or something, but we don’t feel like returning them because it’s hard to find barstools this height for this price. They are comfortable though, and seem pretty sturdy, but the seats have a lot of cosmetic manufacturing imperfections as well. We’ll see how long they hold up.
