I have used this for over 20 years- I have curly wavy thinning hair with lots of cowlicks (is that the word???) Anyway, I also perspire through my head which immediately causes my hair to go limp. A good haircut, round brushes and a powerful hairdryer that could lift an airplane gives me the ability to have a real hair style. People constantly tell me how lucky I am to have such great thick hair-nope- it’s the Hardup. It doesn’t weigh my hair down (pastes always KILL my hair-it just lays right down and dies.) My hair stays clean and manageable-actually looks better the day after I wash it. It has become pricey so I have tried other products; I don’t think there is anything better on the market.

I bought this gel for my son originally for his fauxhawk but when I ran out of mine I used it. I recently got a perm and I like how this gel gives me a sexy wavy look, and holds all day in the summer heat.

I have thick untamable oriental hair and used all gels that doesn't hold up after an hour. My hair just flops over. A hair stylist at Supercuts recomended Sexy Hair Hard Up gel over 15 years ago and to this very day, is my only go to gel.

This gel is the strongest from redken. A small bit goes a long way, but it is slightly buildable. I’m not kidding when I say this stuff will make you hard. Style your hair in desired style and it will stay unmoved until your brush or wash. The only downfall to this is the amount of product residue left on your hands. You will have to wash them after use.

Ran out of my normal go to gel and gave this a try. Liked the hold and will use again.

This gel is what I would recommend for a client who needs all day hold. No flaking or crusty ness if messed up. This is a strong hold and could prob withstand a hard hat. Don’t recommend on most kids because it takes some work to wash out. This would keep your hair in the spot you want and perfect for difficult growth patterns that go against the desired style especially for short hairstyles. Def would recommend. A little goes a long way and it lasts a long time.

I keep this for my clients that have short clipper cuts, holds all day long without flaking. Dries super stiff for maximum hold.

guys love this, gals with short styles as well. firm hold that shampoos clean without residue , i can’t think of a better way to improve this classic, firm holding gel.

Has a good hold. Kind of sticky on your hands but washes off easily. Theirs really no smell
