This unique combination of a wash and scrub not just cleanses but also exfoliates to make your skin soft, clean and bright. SheaMoisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Facial Wash & Scrub is made from natural ingredients like Coconut oil and Hibiscus flower extracts to deliver intense hydration to damaged skin and to protect and replenish lost oils. This nourishing formula is enriched with Songyi Mushroom to illuminate and even skin tone. The scent is great, and it somehow is moisturizing although it’s a scrub. The shea butter in this is formulated to balance your experience and leave you feeling great. This product is made with lots of great ingredients staying true to quality of the Shea Moisture brand.

I loved the old formla. It was perfect. I used it for my feet and it always left them soft and smelling good for the day. It was the only body scrub that I used. It was the only one of its kind. Now it is like all the other body scrubs. The sugar barley scrubs. The smell used to be Devine, now it smells like sour milk.
Switch to the original formula please!!!

This used to be a holy grail product for me. It was a miracle worker for my chronically dry skin. It had a great natural smell that didn’t have that fake added chemical fragrance feel. It smelled like a tropical drink on a beach in the best way and felt like a real treat on my skin. I was amazed at how smooth and moisturized it left my skin after a shower. So so so disappointed to see this new formulation and I will not be buying the product any more.

Pros: good scrub, skin left feeling soft. Cons: more soapy than most scrubs I’ve used. The smell is awful. I ordered online otherwise I wouldn’t have bought in the store, but decided to give it a try. It doesnt smell like coconut or hibiscus, just like, old soap or something more acidic.

I’ve bought this item for years and loved it. But it was recently repackaged/reformulated. Customer service said they didn’t know about these revisions and sent me a replacement item assuming I received the wrong item by mistake. The replacement came with the same new package/formula. I’m so disappointed as the new formula doesn’t work for me. It used to be a much more exfoliating and gritty sugar scrub. Now it’s closer to a body wash than an exfoliating scrub. Other reviewers agree. Please bring back the old formula!!!

I have been using the original version of this scrub for years! The new formula is horrible. Not gradient enough and has a weird soapy feel. The original leaves your skin feeling moisturized and amazing. Smells amazing and just simply a treat! You can tell they added a ton of crap to this new scrub including fragrance which is horrible. Why change something that everyone loves! I am very disappointed in this change and I’m sure there are many others who are as well. If I could give this a 0 star I would. I think Shea Moisture should offer both scrubs instead of replacing to give consumers an option. Hopefully this is not an indication of them changing other formulas because they will loose a lot of customers. Out of all of the products they offer why change this!? There are other products they offer that are newer and not great! Get rid of those products and focus on quality! Too many times companies want to keep expanding on their product selection. In this case it is compromising on the quality and it’s unfortunate. Anywho, I will be buying the original until I can’t anymore and I will never buy the new scrub again. Waste of money and Shea Moisture looks like they are more focused on cutting costs/best ingredients than quality which is a shame. If anything put the cost increase (if any) on the consumer. One thing I know is that when something works cost is not a major factor!

I normally love Shea Moisture products. Coconut and Hibiscus is my favorite line actually. But this scrub is terrible. It doesn't scrub at all. The scrubbing particles ( sugar, I assume) dissolve immediately and don't do what they are supposed to do. The remaining substance leaves oily residue on your skin even after washing with body wash. I got out of the shower, towelled dry and still felt greasy residue on my skin. I had to jump into the shower again and use body brush and soap to scrub my body again. And this is after I washed with Shea moisture body wash and a loofa after using this scrub. I wish I could return it, it's that awful.

The coconut & hibiscus scent is tropical and uplifting, and it lingers nicely on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling super soft, glowy, and smooth. I also love how it rinses clean without leaving an oily residue, but still feels nourishing. It’s the perfect exfoliating scrub for removing dead skin cells & leaving my skin feel soft even before moisturizing.

This is the worst product I've ever purchased. It's just dry clumpy sugar with the teeeeeeniest tiiiiiiniest bit of oil at the bottom of the container. After about 10 mins of trying to mix the oil in to the rest of the container that's 95% dry sugar, I had to give up. It also smells sour, which I did not expect from coconut or hibiscus. Yuck.

Used to love this but they have recently changed their packaging (no big deal) and product (big deal). It used to be very ‘sugary’ ‘scrub’ like… now it’s more gel like and no ‘scrub’ very disappointing. I went from being a regular to now will not be repurchasing at all and will be finding a new brand to buy from.
