What do you mean bring back the old formula? I don't think this is supposed to replace the restorative line as I think that was more strengthening. This is all about moisture like then deep moisture leave in was was clear. I love this line! It's truly moisturizing and I see my hair becoming more curly with each use.

I had high expectations for this conditioner but honestly my hair feels weighed down, straw like and more dry. I recently did the big chop and this was my first go to conditioner to help me grow my hair out healthier but so far it was been quite the opposite. Money wasted and hair worse than it was.

I began using this product over 15 yrs ago and recommended it to many women that dealt with frizz, waves and unmanageable hair. I swore by this product, raved about it. Then, this last bottle I purchased put all of that to a grinding halt. To the point that I am fresh out of the shower, my first use and my hair feels like straw. Just like every other brand that has sold out to a large conglomerate. I will be returning my new bottle tomorrow and I will NOT be reccomending this product any longer. They sold out and the proof is in the hair.

I couldn't figure out why my scalp felt so dry and painful or my hair suddenly straw-like and frizzy until when I changed nothing about my routine. Decided to double check the ingredients in my shampoo/conditioner and, surprise surprise, the ingredients changed. The dollar store brand would work better than this crap formula. Beyond disappointing that I have to find someone willing to take the other 2 bottle off my hands because no way is it touching my head again and find a new brand.

My boyfriend and I used to love this product, it was the best conditioner by far amongst the other options available. But the last time we bought it we got very disappointed. This product is now mostly water based, which not only impacts the end result in your hair, but also makes you use a lot more of the product to get a similar result as before.

I wanted to like this because I really, really like the one with the old formula. Unfortunately this new formula just doesn’t do it for my hair. My hair is less curly and more flat, where as with the other one it really defined my curls and it appeared thicker. Also, the conditioner is thinner now. I prefer a thicker conditioner for my hair. The new smell is good, but the old one is better in my opinion. I’m quite disappointed because I felt like I had finally found a conditioner that works great for my hair and I could use for the rest of my life. I was recommending it to many people. Now, I can’t because I don’t like this new one. I’ll have to find something else now. I may not even go with Shea Moisture…sadly. Why do they change their formulas so much? Especially when so many customers like the old formulas and request them back?!

Bring back the old ingredients in the restorative conditioner. This new conditioner has a texture that is less thick, which is not helpful for my hair and requires me to use even more. The scent of the one with the old ingredients is better. And this new one is labeled for curls, but it did not help my curls that much. It made my hair appear thinner and more flat, whereas the other one made the curls appear thicker and bouncier. Please bring back the restorative conditioner!

How sad this company absolutely ruined their products with multiple formula changes. This was my holy grail, staple product along with the matching shampoo since 2014 (when the curly girl movement started on YouTube) and I am so truly disappointed that they had to touch the formula, where before they had beautiful, pure and simple ingredients. Now they have all chemicals high in the list, added a ton of protein, and the good stuff is maybe at the bottom. I noticed this when my freshly washed hair looked disgusting dirty and greasy but yet felt so incredibly dry. Additionally my curls were coming out terrible. Never will be using their products again. (3a/3b low porosity protein sensitive curls).
