Shoal Creek Storage Chest with Lid Stay Safety - Jamocha Wood - Sauder

Took a while for me to put together but the instructions were well written and easy to follow.

I love love love this wooden toy chest! I have been gifting this for many of my family members and it's a hit! I love how comfortable it is to sit on! And truly a well made easy to assemble product. I wish they were in stock because I have two more baby showers this month and I need them asap!

I needed a chest in my kitchen are that matched and provided hidden storage. This has fit my needs.

It came with a few flaws, but nothing major. The couple of flaws were intentions that might chip away eventually because they're on the edges. But it was very easy to put together. It is pressed board, so you get what you pay for. But for now it'll serve its purpose holding shoes and having somewhere to put them on by the entry.

It was easy to assemble as the individual pieces were well marked & match the description in the written manual. The best part of the handsome-looking chests ( I assembled 2 units ) is they are made in America. Yeah!

Received this as a Christmas gift for my son from his grandparents. Was excited to finally have a storage chest for all of his toys. We were almost finished putting it together when we noticed a large crack through one of the pieces on the back side. Although extremely unfortunate, it still seems like a sturdy piece that we hope to get a lot of use out of.

I've bought plenty of items and bought two of these, one white and one brown. Spring was off, the other one, board was broken at the bottom. Didn't know until it was fully together

Everything is great!

I use it as storage for pictures, calendars and many other seasonal decorations, I was unhappy that the lid had two dents on it but decided to keep it anyway.

Chest is a little small but excellent quality and the color is spot on. Looks like real wood. I use it to store extra blankets and towels. Youd never know whats in there. Goes with my decor perfectly!!

The Shoal Creek storage chest fits perfectly under my window and out of the way in my small apartment. . . nevertheless, it holds a stash of fabric with room for more and was priced $100 less than another chest I viewed that was much smaller. . . no casters and a bit heavy for me but found that by turning the empty chest upside down with the smooth lid on carpet, I can move it around as I please. . . as a person who scored less than the bottom 30% of the general population on the mechanical skills test, I knew I could assemble this chest because I had put together the New Beginnings dresser with drawers and shelves seven years ago--it holds most of my folded clothes, still sturdy and looks good. . . also have the Harbor View Cabinet with adjustable shelves--holds all my art supplies and shelves adjust when needed--I did have help with the assembly because the pieces are taller than me--a great decorator piece and has withstood my constant use over the past seven years without any sign of deterioration--artists love it! Thank you, Sauder for utilitarian, well planned pieces that fit together easily and have a decorator look at an affordable price. The well written directions/identification marks are so helpful.

Easy assembly and holds all the toys...I don’t ask for much....so this was perfect for our needs

The dimensions are for the outside. It loses a couple of inches in depth when assembled. That was a disappointment. Fairly easy to assemble and looks good. Wish it had been a little bigger.

The storage chest is seemingly sturdy but when I was half way through assembly I noticed there was a very large crack along the back panel of the chest. Took too long to put it together so I didnt bother trying to initiate a return. Aside from the crack, really beautiful piece.

As my first product this one was a charm to assemble and looks great. If you can read, you will have not problem assembling their products.

Great color, smooth surface, fairly easy to put together. Took me about an hour - tho I was careful to go slow and follow all the instructions (which are actually pretty funny - a nice surprise). The parts were all a bit dusty upon arrival, but a quick wipe took care of that. It is definitely a heavier piece (for the price) and not at all flimsy (tho I made a point to tell my daughter not to climb on it or in it). The hinge is designed to prevent slamming which is a very nice feature. Even tho I read ahead of time, I was still surprised that the bottom piece isn't flush on the bottom, but about 3-4" raised, so the inside cavity isn't as deep as it would seem when looking at it. We are just storing blankets inside of it, so it wasn't a big deal. I am definitely happy with it and would recommend it.
