However, it is important to note that this is a compressor-based refrigerator/freezer capable of reaching temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C). This means it has a powerful freezing capability. Therefore, you can manually make ice by placing a water-filled ice tray or a container inside. The unit will freeze the water solid, allowing you to create ice for your use.

Great for road trips!

Fabulous little travel fridge
The 37-quart version is perfect for us. It’s compact but heavy enough at 25 pounds that you wouldn’t want to carry it long distances. The refrigerator is quiet, cools quickly, and is straightforward to use thanks to instructions printed directly on the device. Glade we bought it.
During a trip to Hartley Point, my wife wanted to freeze food by the pool before heading to the resort. We tested the refrigerator in a canyon for six hours, and it performed exceptionally. Although our SUV’s plug required the ignition to stay on, switching to a jump pack powered the unit for hours. The fridge kept everything cold for two days. Packing was easier without worrying about ice or melted water. If you’re planning off-grid travel, a solar generator might be a great addition for seamless operation.
