A: The bottom of the dish rack measures approximately 18 inches in length, so placing it over a 17-inch wide sink might be a bit tight.

I bough this dish rack because my old one started to rust but I needed a dish rack that could hold a lot more. This dish rack was perfect for my needs and I don't foresee rust being an issue. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bottom does allow the water to pool at the bottom. If the bottom were somehow shapedm so that more of the water could reach the drain, it would be perfect. Still, everything else works just fine and I'm happy with this item.

Great features include a covered silverware box, an easy to remove under-shelf with a good drain and room for all many of the utensels and dishes that we use day to day. I wasn't sure if the two-level rack was going to be blocked or have many uses, it turned out to be a great feature. The breakfast dishes are washed each morning and stuck in the back lower level, the multi-use dishes go on top and in the front. In the morning I empty the rack and start over. I love it.

I love the stacking but I DO wish there was an option to store the silverwear in a place it actually dried, the water pools on the silver wear and it doesn’t fully dry on the bottom of the little storage area
