Sheila Quinn grew up in West Texas and spent significant time in Eastern New Mexico listening to the stories of her grandma, upon whose life and family her fiction is based. I just finished reading So Long As It's Wonderful. Though I hadn't planned to read the entire book in a single sitting, I found myself caught up in a world that felt a lot like the one in which I grew up, filled with people like those I knew.
