We love the Diet Dr Pete. I'm not sure if you tweaked the formula when you switched to the new bottles, but it does seem to taste better. We have actually quit adding cherry flavoring to it to improve the taste

Great soda replacement!

We are trying to make the switch away from traditional soda products, and this is definitely a good replacement. The flavor matches up to traditional ginger ale, with cute packaging compared to their previous.

Hoping for a non-diet tonic flavor

I like the diet tonic but find it much too sweet. A non-diet option would be great. I am using a mix of the new Grapefruit Elderflower flavoring with a tiny amount of the diet tonic for the perfect drink.

Refreshing taste and good value

Sodastream’s Classic Diet Ginger Ale Drink Mix is really refreshing. I have always liked all of Sodastream’s diet flavored sodas. This one tastes just like Seagrams in my opinion. It’s a great value for the price and the expiration date was over a year out- which I really appreciated.

The diet cola formula doesn’t feel so secret after you’ve tried these! If you love diet cola, these go a long way for your money. Each bottle lasts a long time, and with all soda stream products, you can customize to your flavor preference.

new bottles are horrible

I've been a longtime SodaStream customer, but the new flavor bottles are a major step backward. The old bottles had measurement markings, so you could make a consistent drink every time. The new bottles expect customers to "eyeball it," which means you either under-pour and get weak flavor or over-pour and waste syrup. For a product that's supposed to deliver consistency, removing the measuring system makes no sense. What's even more frustrating is that the syrup doesn't appear to be concentrated enough to justify the new bottle design. I still had an old bottle and did a side-by-side test, using the equivalent measured amount from the old bottle versus the new one. The result was obvious: the new formula produced a noticeably weaker drink. To make matters worse, many of the classic flavors are gone from the new bottle choices, and some of the replacement flavors don't even taste the same as the originals. Even tasting the syrups before dilution, the flavor profiles are clearly different. SodaStream seems to have solved a problem that didn't exist. They removed the measuring feature, changed or eliminated popular flavors, and delivered a product that appears weaker and less consistent. The old bottles were simple, accurate, and worked well. The new system feels like a downgrade in almost every way. Bring back the measuring cap, bring back the original flavors, and stop telling customers to "eyeball" a product that's supposed to be measured.

changes

so the bottle is different now. the nutritional values are the same as with the old bottle. however it says the portion is 3 tablespoons. this is a lot less than in the old bottles, where i filled to the top line of the cap. is it more concentrated now? not sure how they could do that without changing the nutritional values, specifically caffeine.

Like store bought

Kid loves the diet cola and soda stream! Tastes the same as store bought and satisfies his bubble craving. Good fizzy drink and in my opinion, it’s a healthier option.

Great taste. New bottles are horrible.

Love Diet Dr. Pete. Flavor is excellent. I drink 2 liters every morning! Do not like the new bottles of the syrup. Hard to measure unless you still have an old cap to the original bottles to measure. Measuring three spoon fulls is ridiculous. They need to sell a measuring cup that allows you to not fill to the brim because no one is THAT good at pouring. And you need to be able to pour the overfill back into the bottle. Just bad design on the new bottles. They didn't talk with actual users. Still, the Diet Dr. Pete is GREAT tasting!
