SOG - Adventurer Folding Knife

Very sharp and well crafted and the engraving was a very nice touch

The SOG Adventurer LB is a great, slim, lightweight folding knife. It’s something to slip into your pocket and forget. It’s not flexy-bendy, despite its lack of internal liners. That’s compensated by the teeter-totter of the locking bar which serves as a full-length back spacer and adds rigidity to the plastic scales. It’s not something you’d use on the ranch, but it’s good for ordinary cutting tasks. The color is subjective, but I like the ‘dusk purple’ - the almost dark yet almost pastel, saturated purple looks great with the black blade. I can snap it open with the thumb stud just fine. Being a lockback, closing it requires two hands every time. That is unless you want train one hand to go through the gyrations of sliding way back, pressing the lock bar hard, shaking the blade past the détente or using your thigh on the blade-back. Seems a lot easier to just use two hands like in the old days. I really like the similar SOG Altair XR, but it costs five times as much. ??? Comparing the two knives, the blades are almost the same length and same drop point shape, but a much better steel on the Altair. The size and weight are almost identical. But I couldn’t justify paying five times as much. All-in-all, the Adventurer LB is a good economical choice for a useful light pocketknife. And the color looks cool, so there ya go.

I bought this knife on impulse after receiving an email flyer. I am very pleased with my purchase. It's very light, so you hardly notice you're carrying it.

I love this knife. I love it so much I now have it in 3 colors. I even used one on date night to cut my prime rib, the restaurant's steak knife was terrible. But my Adventurer got the job done like a champ. Buy one. Buy three. Buy twenty.

This knife is wonderful. It’s sharp. It’s opens easy and fast. It’s slim so you don’t even know it’s in your pocket. It’s light and very durable and has a very low price. You can’t go wrong with this knife. I like it so much I’ve bought several more. It is s great little knife. Great job SOG.

Gave 3 as a Christmas gift and all were very appreciated. Was told these will be their every day go to.

Bought two orange for the sons, two blue for their wives and red for mine. All really liked them. My son is a teacher and said the 3” blade was ok. As always, excellent fit and quality.

this was a Christmas gift and I have to say the balance and ease of opening with a secure lock surpass every other Knife in this price range I've ever owned

This has become my EDC. Simpje, reliable, great color in the FDE.

I like the knife except for the clip. I cannot remove it because it requires a special tool. The knife should make the clip an option selected at purchase.

Got the original knife for my husband to carry, but it was too big - and this one came as a gift - my husband is now carrying this one. Super handy, fits well in his pocket.

nice and light, very sharp out of the box, lock is solid. action needs to be broken in a little bit, other than that, a very nice and affordable knife.

This is a good, solid EDC knife. Not as nice as other, much more expensive SOG knives I own, but a great value and has worked well in everyday use.

Great EDC, I have several SOG knives and all have held up well.

I needed a slim pocket knife, this knife fits my needs

First knife I've bought for myself. Solid mechanics and a very sharp blade. Purchased 2 more for my longtime friends to celebrate our 50th year camping in Vermont. Thanks SOG!

My only complaint is a bit stiff on release; & the release placement isn't ideal for for single handed operation...
