Loved at first, then got moldy.

I loved this thing at first, made it super quick and easy to put sunscreen on my kids, but after a few uses it became moldy, which makes sense. It was a good idea in theory, but gross in reality.

Not worth the hype imo

I do think the foam is a bit scratchy personally and it doesn’t distribute the sunscreen as I would’ve hoped but after several swipes it gets on the skin. As someone whose child doesn’t love being lotioned, I think I would still rather just apply the sunscreen normally. I do think this was an unnecessary purchase.

Does a decent job

I have have two of these. I’ve had them for two years now, as I originally bought them from a different store. I was skeptical at first because I didn’t think they applied a thick enough layer of sunscreen, but I haven’t had a problem with missed spots so they seem to do fine. The only thing is that you can’t store them wet. You have to take the sponge part off at the end of every day and wash it off and let it dry, or else it will grow mold. I did have the sponge come off on one but I superglued it back on and it has been fine since then.

Gross Concept

This is disgusting. Using a sponge on unwashed skin then storing it in ripe bacteria breeding conditions and rubbing it all over skin again. The likelihood the same applicator is being used on multiple people is high here too. Gross. Just use your clean hand to spread the lotion.

They don't last long

I bought two and they didn't even make it through the summer. They leaked even when I checked over and over to make sure they were properly closed and the sponge fell off after just a few uses. it's a great concept because I really hate the feeling of sunscreen but spending this on a an applicator that only works a couple times was not worth it.

I have bought two of these and they’re fantastic!! I hate having lotion of any kind on my hands and this allows me to avoid that gross feeling. Allows you to use any sunscreen you prefer and applies evenly.
