    Fingerprints everywhere / connectivity issues

    Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps all your points but is clearer, more professional, and correct for typos and grammar: I bought the Sony WH‑1000XM6 a couple of weeks ago. Overall, the sound is good, and it would be nice if they sounded a bit better out of the box, but sound quality is not the main problem. The biggest issues are connectivity and multi‑device behavior. When the headphones are connected to both a MacBook and an iPhone, audio from the iPhone usually won’t play while the MacBook is active unless I explicitly disconnect the MacBook. The dual‑device connection feature is very buggy in practice. Connecting to the Sony | Sound Connect app on iPhone is also very glitchy and often forces me to disconnect my laptop audio first. The fingerprint issue is also terrible. I regularly wipe them down with a microfiber cloth and light glasses cleaner spray, which cleans them off, but the moment I touch them again, new marks appear all over. The finish picks up fingerprints extremely easily. Once the EQ is customized, they sound good, but at this price point I would expect the connectivity issues across devices and with the app, as well as the fingerprint problem, not to exist. I think Sony should have spent more time on development and testing before releasing these headphones.

    Sound okay, not as good as reviews state. Noise cancellation flicks in and out when in a noisy environment. Not much of an upgrade from the xm5 for me. But they do sound nice. But not as good as b&w.

    Mostly very positive

    I bought this a few weeks ago and am very pleased with it. One minor quibble is that there are no voice signposts in English to tell you what has happened when you press a button, as there were on my WH4 version. An electronic sound on its own is not helpful and I can't find any way to switch vocal signposts (if they are available) on. Otherwise, full marks.

    Great headphones!

    Great noise cancelling function and perfect fit. I did try bose headphones too, one of the latest version and it wasn't that comfortable though I did enjoy the immersion mode but not necessarily a must to have.

    Cool gimmick but..

    Went from a bose to this, sound wise, to me the bose beats this hands down on sound quality and even its overall volume and comfort, dont get me wrong, it has some cool gimmicks but I still wished I used my money on the latest bose headphones instead of this 1

    Audio engineering made perfect!

    I've had these headphones for about 4 months now, and I have nothing but positive feedback! I'll admit, I was wary to purchase headphones so expensive at first, but they're well worth the investment. I use these for both my work and personal life. If you're looking for comfort, you won't get any better than this. I wear mine on average 5-6 hours a day and sometimes forget they are even there. The noise cancellation and ambient sound mode are very cool; the fact that I can switch from hearing everything just as if I didn't have any headphones on, to completely silencing everything around me, you'd think God made them Himself. I rarely have to charge them, the battery lasts for days! I even wore them while playing basketball, and I was so impressed by how well they stayed snug on my head. Lastly, what most people care about is the audio. I love the standard and cinema modes. If you watch movies or shows on your devices, these headphones will genuinely make you feel as though you're in a movie theater. The sound is immaculate! In standard mode, listening to everyday videos, or music is better than ever with the clear and precise audio. I make tons of phone calls with them as well, never had any issues of being heard or hearing someone on the other line. Long story short, buy these headphones!

    Excellent upgrade

    The new Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are easily the best headphones Ive ever used. Ive owned the previous Sony WH-1000XM5 version for a couple of years and the new headphones are greatly improved. The first thing I noticed was they have significantly improved noise cancellation. love the new Sony 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema which provides great Spatial Audio which I use for both TV and Audio playback. The Bluetooth pairing and playback are much faster making the Sony WH-1000XM6 the best headphones I've ever used. Highly recommended.
