Good battery performance, nicely balanced sound
I bought these headphones to replace my 7 year old xm2. The old ones have started to feedback, click and pop when in noise cancellation mode but they have been a very faithful set of cans. The xm6 has all the features i had come to expect from my sony headphones. I had looked at bose too but i prefer the eq balance with sony. I use them for work which is now even better with multi device connectivity. I can play music from my personal phone and take calls on teams from my laptop almost seamlessly (there is a small switching delay). An interesting feature is if i have my minirigs playing from my phone. Notifications from teams on my laptop, pauses the music on my phone. I think this is perhaps a settimg for the sonys that pauses media on the phone even if im not using the sonys to play the media. Quite handy actually. The only down side. The relatively high price tag compared to versions past, I hope they will last as long as my originals.

Exactly what I needed
I wanted a headset that would drown out the noise of my family while in business meetings . These do just that. If I am in another room, they are not heard at all. If my loud 6 year old is right next to me, the sound of his voice is a low muffle. They are not the most comfortable but I wanted them for noise canceling purposes so I cannot complain.

Great for recording vocals!
I got these to use in my home recording studio and I love them! Especially when tracking vocals they have a little button you press so you can hear yourself better!

Good, but is the high price really justifiable.
Used on the train and airplane. Better than the XM5's but still difficult to justify the high cost. Noise cancelling good but some sound gets through on the plane. Bass is good and sound quality in general is of a high quality. Battery life very good Wearing them for an 8 hour flight was okay but start to cause pressure on the top of the head towards the end.

The noise cancelling is great, but the sound quality is horrible for any rock or edm type music. Even with the ability to adjust everything through the app, it sounded muffled. I ended up retraining and getting the Beats Studio Pro.

Good sound, horrible comfort
I'm big fan of Sony products. After upgrading from my 7-year-old WH-1000XM3, I immediately noticed comfort issues with the new WH-1000XM6. The ear pads feel warmer with less ventilation, and my ears heat up far quicker than they ever did with the XM3. The fit is also too snug — the clamping force is strong enough that I get a headache after about 15 minutes. Maybe it’s because I have larger ears or wear glasses, but this was never an issue with the XM3. The sound and ANC are phenomenal, but the overall comfort is a big step down for me, especially at this price point. I really wanted to keep the XM6, but after two weeks of regular use, the clamping force still hadn’t eased up. Honestly, I wish could just repair my XM3s. They work fine, just the headband is taped up using duct tape becuase the plastic parts have cracked and sliding adjustments for the earcups no longer stay in place. One day, I hope Sony releases a model that returns to the comfort of the XM3/XM4s, and with a decent mic that doesn’t make you sound like you’re talking through a walkie-talkie.

Very slight improvment on the previous model XM5 in sound and noise reduction Actually less comfortable to wear than the XM5 The swivle makes the heaband all over the place which does actually badly impact the comfort The Ear muffs are awful unless you have very small ears after a short while your ears will hurt from the small enclosure. The build quality is, at best, just okay — and for the price, it honestly feels disappointing. I’ve continued using Sony mainly because their sound quality and noise-cancelling have traditionally been top-tier. However, even those advantages may not be enough to keep me loyal in the future, especially as competing brands are rapidly closing the gap in both areas. If Sony releases an XM7, I don’t see myself purchasing it. All of the issues I’ve experienced so far make the product difficult to justify. Most importantly, the comfort just isn’t there. The design doesn’t seem to accommodate people with larger heads or even those with average-sized ears. After extended use, the fit becomes uncomfortable, and that alone is enough to make me reconsider staying with the lineup. At this point, unless Sony addresses these long-standing problems, I’ll likely move on to other options.

BEST HEADPHONES IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, i had the xm4 previously and loved them but the ambient sound was sub-par, you could hear those around you but cant really make out what they’re saying if you have music playing even super quietly. these excel in all areas. a very important upgrade, sony you’ve done it again, i don’t know how they keep topping themselves.

Very good ,im coming from the jbl 720 BT and wow , I never knew sound quality could get better, plus I love all the new features like the ambient sound and noise cancelation. However, the noise cancelation doesn't really cancel out much of the noise unless I put my music at like 60% , but regardless, very nice headphones
