Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B-3, functions in over 50 metabolic reactions, most of which are enzymatic. Its bioactive forms - NAD+, NADH, NADP, and NADPH - play important roles as catalysts in the energy production process in the cells, the breakdown of proteins and fatty acids, the synthesis of fatty acids, and the formation of steroid hormones and red blood cells. My dermatologist recommended it because I've had so many skin cancers removed. It helps with healing. I found that B-3 is not in most B complex.

Look up Dr William Kaufman study on joint pain/arthritis.
Look up Dr. William Kaufman who treated patients with arthritis successfully with 3,000mg of niacinamide. Dr Kaufman was treating his schizophrenic patients successfully with niacinamide but found his patients joint pain was completely gone also . His study shows 3-4 weeks vast improvement taking 1500mg am and pm. But all pain was completely gone in 3-4 months. Look up Dr Jonathan Wright On YouTube who reference this study done and how his patients with bone on bone joints walk pain free . We have experience these fantastic results also personally.

It works for joints.
I take 2 tablets a day and it helps my joint pain a lot. It is one of the few things that really work.

Be aware: Huge tablets
If you have problems with giant tablets, I wouldn't recommend these 1,500 mg niacinamide. They are 7/8" long, 3/8" wide, 1/4" high. Source Naturals is a good brand, but I think I will return to a smaller tablet twice per day.

Easiest way to take 1500 mg.
I have been using niacinamide for several years for my memory and I was so happy to find a time release formula in the dosage I take. The price is great too, especially when I can get a sale which Swanson has often.

Since learning about Niacin from watching Food Matters and a few other documentaries on Netflix, I decided to give this a try, and I have to say I have seen an immense improvement in my well-being and emotions. Highly recommended!

Too high of a dosage
I have previously used another brand of niacinamide but decided to try this timed-released higher dosage brand. At first, I took in the morning & it caused my face to flush bright red every day so I changed to taking it in the evening. It seemed that it was not actually time-released because I took the previous brand (500 mg) in the morning & it did not cause any problem. The tablets are huge. Will return to brand I used before.
