waste of plastic/packaging
got nervous at first as we also opened ours to find no game cartridge and only a code. luckily the code seems to work and download is in progress. I do think this is ridiculous and wasteful. whats the point of having the case ? that makes zero sense.

Do not buy this game in store, especially if you don’t have a target that is really close to where you live. I bought this during the spend 100 get $30 off sale for Nintendo games and I opened the game like not even eight or so days after I got it in the download code doesn’t work so not only do I have to have time to actually go up and possibly try to refund this since I see a lot of issues with trying to get a replacement for this but even if you contact Nintendo, there’s nothing that could be done about it because it’s not one of their codes so I’m not even mad at Nintendo. I’m more so mad at waiting on EA to contact me. I sent them a message over five days at the point. Basically, if you buy this in store there is nothing that can be done online. You can’t get a refund or a replacement. You have to return to the store. This is nothing but a scam at this point..

Do not buy from Target! I bought the box with download code, and it said it was already redeemed. Called Target support and they said they can offer me a replacement or refund and i foolishly asked for a replacement. That code was already redeemed too. Their next solution was to call Nintendo as once it is replaced they cannot offer another replacement or refund since it was a game. I called Nintendo and they said because it is not published by Nintendo, I would have to contact EA. EA is not open on weekends so I will see what bs response they will give me when I call. So much hassle, and if that doesn’t work I’ll have wasted money. Thanks Target for nothing!!

Seriously what was the point of putting a digital code in a physical case? Whos idea was this? If i wanted to download the game digitally i wouldve just bought it from the eshop. This is just so unnecessary and unethical in alot of ways.

Great game runs great on switch but buying a case with a peace of paper and a code on it is not a way to sell a physical and if anyone thinks it is u need to get checked fyi there isn’t even a little art book or a sticker pack just the one peace of paper

DIGITAL CODE - Waste of money if you only want a cartidge
Game itself- awesome. I wouldn’t have purchased this version though had I understood that it was a digital game code. It states in small words on the image of the cartridge box, which doesn’t come with a cartridge. We have four switches at our home and we prefer the cartridges for this reason. Would have purchased for a different system if we had realized. It should be listed in the title because once you open the box you cannot take it back. This was deceptive.

People Cant Read
Price is reasonable for a Switch 2 Game, the coop is very on point. The style and mechanics make this a must play for any couch coop players out there. P.S it’s Amazing how many customers who’ve left reviews are so blind/stupid they couldn’t even read the front of the box…where it clearly says “game card not included” right below “FULL GAME DOWNLOAD” you have no one to blame but yourselves…just review bombing because of your own ignorance

Just a game code, DECEPTIVE, WORTHLESS.
It's just a game code in a box. I know a lot of people might not care about that, but you cannot trade it or resell it if you don't like the game or finish it and don't think you'll ever play it again. It will also disappear once Nintendo's shop goes down (because they shut down all console shops eventually) or EA decides to no longer allow downloads. It's just an expensive long term rental.
