Q: Is the color of this shade's material a bright white, or an off-white?

A: Hi - when not illuminated, we would say that the color is an off-white. If you are using a white color temperature bulb behind it, the shade will look more white when the bulb is illuminated. Thank you for the question.

It took me a long time to find this shade and Lamps Plus had it! The white is a real white color, fabric is thin enough to give lots of light. The texture of the shade adds so much to the lamp and the room. Also, having the rectangular shape keeps it in the current decorating style. Expensive but worth every penny!

And there were some weird dark spots (I guess the glue) around each of the pinches (so a lot). It's okay, but if I saw it in-person I wouldn't have bought.
