Description
Certified high-quality alfalfa is naturally low in sugar and carbohydrates, moderately high in protein, and rich in calories and digestible fiber. It is certified noxious weed-free, ensuring a clean and nutritious forage source. This premium forage is particularly recommended for growing and underweight horses, horses sensitive to carbohydrates, those with gastric ulcers, as well as mares in late pregnancy and lactation. Standlee’s Grab & Go compressed bales are carefully produced by allowing alfalfa to reach the ideal stage of maturity before being harvested, sun-cured to an optimal moisture level, and baled at the perfect time. The large bales are then processed by pressing, slicing horizontally, weighing, compressing, banding, and shrink-wrapping to create a convenient and easy-to-handle product. With its balanced nutritional profile—low in sugar, moderately high in protein, and packed with calories and digestible fiber—alfalfa forage is an excellent choice for supporting equine health and growth.

Easy to transport bales
These are a great weed free bale that can be easily, and cleanly transported even in a car. I have fed them when locally grown hay was not available.

Great product
I just bought an excellent bale - good color and free of dust. The last couple I bought were a bit dusty so glad to see the usual great product I normally purchase

So convenient!
I buy these bales whenever we will be away from home. They are so convenient and easy to use. The plastic protects then while we travel and since they are compressed, they take up little space. My horses start nickering when they see me bringing this hay!

Loved by my horse and guinea fowls
I bought this for my OTTB at first but then gave a chunk to my guinea fowls. They both love it and it's nice to have a product that doubles when you have as many animals as I do. I like the grab and go bales because I absolutely HATE having hay all over my trunk and this keeps my daily driver car clean.

Really, it’s so convenient
I horse camp, you never know what kind of forage you’ll encounter away from home. To keep things simple and consistent, I use the Grab & Go bales. I pull my trailer with an SUV, so finding a spot to put hay used to be a big stress. With a Grab & Go I can put them in my car no problem, no mess.

Wonderful!
I love the convivence of these bales. It's great that they are wrapped in plastic and have an easy carry handle. They are great to throw in the trailer for horseshows. The hay quality is very consistent

Awesome Product
I had to purchase this for a mare that became sick and needed some really good top quality alfalfa hay and this was my go too. Love it and she's bouncing back to her weight and looks great.

Great product! Highly recommend!
We buy the compressed bales for my older gelding all the time but most recently we bought it for a mare to improve her top line. We are seeing great improvement with this product.

Forage or performance horses and dairy goats
We feed compresses grab and go alfalfa bales to our dairy goats to help them maintain their body condition while also producing high yields of quality goat milk. We give a flake each night to our performance horses to enhance their daily pasture and provide a full belly to prevent ulcers overnight. If the quality is off, then returning the product is easy. It’s the best way to get alfalfa in places where alfalfa is not naturally available.

Convenience in a bag
My horses are on a pasture block but when I show, this is my go to option. My horses never refuse to eat it when they are away in a show environment - one less thing for me to worry about!. The quality is consistent and the packaging makes the bale easy to handle.

PERFECT for traveling!
purchased the compressed bail of alfalfa when my daughter was racing in las vegas, last year. was PERFECT for traveling south, the stops along the way, as well as while we were in vegas. kept the compressed bail outside the thoroughbred's stall & everyday noticed more & more of a mess around the compressed bail. i think the walker-by's were taking SAMPLES & leaving residual. must be good!

Overpriced Disappointment
Grab and go bales are not a good value. Although the label states a net weight of 50 pounds, it is rare for them to actually make that weight. Often they are under 45 lbs. The opaque bag hides the stemmy inferior hay quality. Pale color, coarse and unpalatable stems, sometimes contain pounds of DIRT. Vastly overpriced.

Easy to use and store.
My horses love this alfalfa! I have a 30 year old horse that I mix in some of this with his other forage to help ensure he stays at a good weight. These are easy to use and easy to store.
