Nice roasty flavor but a little bitter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like my coffee creamy and sweet, but always willing to try new flavors, especially when they are offered as a #freesample. This has a lovely, dark flavor, but with a touch of the slightly burnt taste that defines many darker roasts. I would definitely bake with this, as a fun alternative to espresso, but would probably not drink it as often as a regular cuppa.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bag of Starbucks Sumatra Coffee and I have to say it was pretty good. It smells good and tastes smooth and not as bitter as other types. I am not a big fan of dark roasts but this one was okay for my taste. I prefer a mild or medium roast so the rest of the bag will be used by my hubby who likes strong coffee, and he really liked the Sumatra.

Very enjoyable compared to the brand that we currently buy. I used my own reusable pod and filled it for my keurig, I used the brew strong setting and a 10 oz cup.

Smooth Sip Big Flavor

As the coffee brews it is very aromatic and unmistakeably a premium cup of coffee. The coffee is easy to drink and has a nice robust flavor. I am a big fan, and plan to keep my pantry stocked!

For me, the perfect way to enjoy this coffee is to mix it with a milder coffee and then it is the perfect cup. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My household is huge fans of dark roast coffees, and Sumatra fit the bill more than adequately. We're also really focused on ONE type of coffee bean: time after time, blends or multiple types of beans that create a compilation type of roast just do not taste good, as the flavors seem to "fight" each other, and it always shows up in the flavor of the coffee. Although I might have liked to have ground the beans myself to my taste (as well as coffee making apparatus), it's nice to have a break from doing so! In short, with the dark roast, single-origin type, and ground coffee, Sumatra was a big hit -- and I will look for it in the store to purchase! #freesample
