I’m so glad I purchased
I’m so glad I purchased this sandbox. I spent a bit of time researching it and this look like it would be the best and it certainly is. As large enough that my grandson can be in it with someone else and have some of his toys in there. We recently had a pretty heavy wind and rain storm here, and there was no moisture at all inside the sandbox with the lid on. It would be nice if the top had a handle because it’s mildly annoying to position, but I can live with that. Great choice!

Sand fun
Did a lot of research and decided on the Step 2. Came quickly. Perfect size for 2 children. I filled with 200lbs of sand. Still plenty of room to play and store toys under lid when not in use. The lid fits well, you just need to make sure it is aligned which is easy.

Durable sandbox, a must have for every backyard
Bought this for my son when he was a baby, filled it with sand. He had tons of fun, grabbing sand, feeling the texture. The sandbox cover kept the sand free of the tree leaves that litter our yard. And when my son grew older, he started using the sandbox toys and molds to create in the sand, so it was no longer sensory play, it was creative play. We kept our sandbox under an awning so didn't have any wet sand like another reviewer said but I think that can be easily be solved with a tarp cover.

After reading that another brand’s iconic turtle sandbox had been redesigned so that the base came in parts requiring assembly (and which resulted in some sand leakage), I knew I wanted something that whose base consisted of a single piece. This fit the bill: base and lid are each a single piece. Just pull it out of the box, add sand and you’re good to go. The design is discreet enough that we have no qualms leaving it on our front porch. More importantly, though, my almost 3 year old loves it! Tip: The item description says this will hold up to 200 lbs of sand. We bought 150 lbs, but after setting up realized 100 lbs was enough for our toddlers’ needs.

Well thought out product!
I am pleased with the sandbox, more importantly, my grandson (age 2) is very happy with it. No trouble with water getting in. Enough room under cover to keep an adequate number of sand toys inside while covered.

I like that the bottom is all once piece and not spliced together like other sandboxes. The lid doesn’t fit really snug like I would expect it but other than that we are happy with it.

Company will Not sell replacement lid . Said they don't make lids for replacing.

We apologize but unfortunately we do not to sell individual boxes or any of the small or large plastic rotational molded pieces such as you request due to how the products are produced/manufactured. All products are manufactured and packaged in a complete mold set or as a family. We do not run individual plastic roto pieces, stock extra pieces and therefore cannot sell these individual pieces. We can provide these parts ONLY as no charge replacements if the product was damaged in packaging, parts are missing or if the product fails within the 3 year warranty period under normal use to the original purchaser who can provide proof of purchase or a receipt. Nice small sandbox
On the smallish side - but a 2 year old and 4 year old can both fit inside it, with more room to play when they are sitting on the seats or outside the box. So far the top fits well and stays on ok, but haven’t tested it in strong winds yet. Nice value for our needs and the price.

Very small
Once you put some sand and a few toys in it, there’s not much space to play. We dumped the sand on a tarp to play then back into the box to keep it clean. One long bungee cord keeps cove from blowing in hard wind.

Sturdy but small
After extensive research, we landed on this sandbox for our backyard. Pros: it’s all one piece, no assembly required, it has a solid bottom, and the lid is domed so you can leave all the toys in the box and cover it. Cons: it’s pretty small, and the lid doesn’t snap closed. I’m sure when it rains, the rain water will get in, as I’ve read in other reviews, because there are pretty big holes/spaces between the lid ans the box. It doesn’t rain that much where we live, so it hasn’t been an issue. However, our son is 2.5 and he will probably outgrow this in a year. I can’t imagine 2 kids in it playing. That said, it’s sturdy and meets our needs for now.
