Step2 Pro Play Workshop & Utility Bench

We like that the quality of this work bench. The kids are having fun with it. We wish it came with all of the foam pieces for all of the projects shown. We were only able to build two complete projects and then have several random pieces for other projects such as the bird house. We would be fine with only getting the pieces for say 3 projects but getting random pieces for many incomplete projects is frustrating and makes no sense. We would also like better pictures of the projects than the small sticker on one of the bins. The directions are fairly easy to follow but the numbers steps skip about 5 numbers in the middle which is confusing. We spent quite a bit of time looking for a missing page to only realize that the steps are all there and to just ignore the error in the numbering. Wouldnt be very hard to fix these few flaws. All in all I am glad we chose thos work bench over others. I feel like the people that oversee the directions and the reviews don't speak English or this stuff would have been remedied after the first few reviews that mention the errors in the assembly directions.

So upset. Paid a lot of money to get item in a brown box, nothing wrapped, no instructions. How am I supposed to gift something like this?

I am very disappointed in this item! First off when I received it, it was missing the two doors for the bottom cabinet. It was also missing the drill press which was the whole reason I got this tool bench in the first place, it was also missing the other tools and the fake wood. After calling up the company and sending many emails with photos and proof of purchase they finally send me the missing pieces. When I received the missing pieces they only sent me one door when it is supposed to have two doors so again I had to email them. They also did not send the drill press which apparently they discontinued which is false advertising because the description had the drill press in the photo. I spent a lot of money on this tool bench and will never purchase an item from this brand again. It was a huge disappointment and the company has done nothing about the missing drill press

Great toy to keep the kiddos busy . Wish it had more projects

Everything is terrible! The instructions say each piece should have a letter on it to know how to put together. NONE of the pieces have any letters. I had to look up online how to assemble the darn thing. The set is flimsy and cheaply made.

Honestly we are pretty disappointed in this tool bench and we did a lot of research! It doesn’t do much at all. You can’t actually drill or hammer the pieces in and if you do they usually get stuck. The things you can build are for much older kids definitely not a 2.5 year old. Unfortunately, we might be reselling this because it is just taking up room and making a mess. Definitely, not the product we thought.

I was looking for a workbench for my 2 year old. All reviews with pictures, I kept seeing the yellow drill press. Once I received this workbench and did not see the drill press, I was very disappointed. Not sure if they changed the style or I’m just missing the part all together? But everything is the exact same except for the drill press. That was the part I was most excited about.

Nice set. Only one “power tool” 2AA batteries needed. Foam pieces look like wood to “build” projects. My only dislike was the black and white picture directions for assembly.

This product was terrific! My 2 grandchildren aged 21 months (boy) and 4 years old (girl) rushed over and immediately started playing! They really enjoyed the realistic moving drill press, saw, vise, and hand drill. It was so nice to provide a different type of toy than the usual kitchen sets, especially for my granddaughter! There was plenty of space for 2 or more children to play at one time. I'm sure they will enjoy this for a very long time!

Really wanted to love this especially for the price. However, the vice grip piece was missing from the box and the two jar that hold the nuts & bolts do not stay hanging on the back wall as the plastic wall is warped. I expected better quality for the price and from the manufacturer.

Once we got the product assembled my grandson loves it. There were no pre drill holes and it was impossible to hand turn the screw driver to put all the screws as instructed into the product by hand. We had to borrow a power drill to get the job done.

Our four year old LOVES this workbench but putting it together almost lead to a divorce…the instructions were awful, they skipped numbers for some steps and it was incredibly challenging to put together. They do not pre drill the holes where the screws go to you have to use a drill to get through which also lead to a lot of frustration. If my husband would have been out of town, I would not have been able to put it together on my own! Whoever made the product and instructions get zero stars but overall product is 4-5!

I bought it for our Breezeway at the childcare center that I work for. The children love it! I would say it is definitely better for a home or smaller center type of environment but I have bought some extra items to go along with the utility bench to pump it up a bit more. Over all it is pretty awesome!!

Got here super fast. Have not opened, it is a christmas gift

Nice, sturdy! Our only issue is one of the drills battery covers are stuck on the because the screw is stripped. Going to contact the company for a replacement.. but other than that it’s a really nice bench set

We gave this to our 22 month old son as an early Christmas present and he is in love with it! We’ve played for hours pretending to saw the wood in half, drill holes in the wood pieces, hammer pieces together, use the working handheld drill to screw pieces together/to the bench, he even loves to pretend to wash his hands in the sink! The list goes on. Step 2 is a great company with the child in mind.

My grandson loves his workbench. Just like Daddy’s.

We have 3 kiddos, 2,5 and 7. Each play at a different skill level but each love this for the ability to use their imagination and skills to create something and see if it will work for what they plan. My only wish is that it would come with or have add on kits that they could build more with the foam pieces and the screws. Helps with fine motor skills!
