About this item
Highlights

- EASY TO USE - With a tool-free design, the Baby Set is easy to attach to the Chair. We also completely redesigned the five-point harness, making it easier to attach to the Baby Set, easier to adjust, and easier to take off your child.
- A CHAIR FOR LIFE - Once your child outgrows the Baby Set, simply remove it. The Chair features adjustable seat & foot plates, so you can position each at a comfortable, ergonomic angle, well into adulthood.
- COMFORT & CONVENIENCE - The Cushion 2 provides comfort & support for your child, whether you're using the Baby Set or not. The Stokke Tray can be a convenient accessory, even though the Tripp Trapp Chair is designed to fit right up to your table.
- STURDY & SAFE - This solid, beech wood chair can hold up to 300 lbs. Plus, the High Chair comes with gliders for additional stability.
- DESIGN WITH A PURPOSE - Tripp Trapp was designed by Peter Opsvik in 1972. Inspired by his young son Tor, who had grown out of his high chair but was still too small for an adult chair, Peter aimed to seat all ages at the same table comfortably.

One of our most recommended baby products. It grows with your baby. So easy to clean all the little messes and love how it blends so perfectly with our dinning room. It’s a registry must have!

We really love our Tripp Trapp. It’s become such a natural part of our everyday life. From sharing lunch with her big sister to sitting right up at the table like a big girl, it’s one of those things we use without even thinking about it. The design is beautiful, but even more than that, it just works. It grows with her, fits right into our home, and makes mealtime feel like family time every time.
I love that it grows with my babies!

Highly, highly recommend. We got the warm brown beechwood and it is one of my favorite additions to our home. It’s sturdy, beautiful, and has already become a little spot where so many memories are made.

Excited to use this! My husband grew up with one of these so it was obvious that we would get one for our baby. It’s a splurge but I think it’s the standard for a reason.

My 5 day old baby already loves his chair! We put him in it when we’re hanging out on the couch and want him nearby us. It’s super compact and comfy for him - he always seems content when snuggled in his chair. We also bring it to our dining room table so he can sit with us while we eat dinner. I’m so excited that this chair will grow with him. Can’t recommend it enough - the quality is incredible, it’s super sturdy and makes us feel like our baby is safe, and he is well supported and comfy.

I’ve been a nanny for over 30 years and have never encountered such a horrible high chair as this one. I gave it one star for looks and the attempt for multi purpose but it is a beast to try to take apart to clean and the buckles are stiff and bulky which seems uncomfortable for the baby.
Long lasting comfort and durability!

Love love this high chair! It goes really nice with our decor and fits up right to our dining room table. We used it with our first child and now we are using it again with our second. We never had to buy a new one. It’s very durable and has been lasting us quite a few years.

We love our Tripp Trapp high chair so much for our toddler that we had to get another one for our newborn! The newborn bundle is awesome. it keeps our little one safe and cozy, and I love having them up at the table with the rest of the family. It makes mealtime so much easier and more fun. Totally worth it!

I love that the Tripp Trapp grows with your child so that we can get many years of use out of it. The Natural Oak wood is beautiful and very well made. It was easy to put together, too. I can't wait to use this when our baby arrives in a few months!

Been using the Stokke Tripp Trapp for a while now and honestly… it’s so good. Super solid, easy to clean, and looks so aesthetic in my kitchen. I love that my 3 month old can sit right at the table with us — it just makes meals feel more connected. And the fact that it grows with them? Feels like one of the few baby things that’s actually worth the investment. My 2 year old also loves sitting in his Tripp Trapp. So easy for him to get on and off on his own! Beautiful, functional, safe, and actually lasts.
So versatile!

We’ve loved our Stokke Tripp Trapp from the start! We used it as my son’s high chair from the time he was a baby, and now that he’s older, we’re still getting use out of it as a regular chair at the table. It’s incredibly versatile, grows with your child, and has such a clean, timeless look. Definitely worth the investment for something that lasts through so many stages!

A true nightmare to clean. This was number one on my baby registry and was gifted the entire kit and kaboodle. It is an absolute nightmare to click and unclick the small tiny mechanisms to disassemble the chair to clean. And if you’re not instantly wiping off food, you can expect to get your chisel out. Will sell and purchase something that doesn’t require tools and fingers of steel to clean.

This is the best high chair! Our daughter loves it! She is safe with the harness & supper comfy with the adjustable seat & footplate. We look how light weight it is so we can move it to different parts of the house! Also loving the Terracotta color! Highly recommend!!
Sturdy but suction bowls don’t stick to tray

Nice sturdy chair, but we can’t find any bowls that suction to this tray. I don’t know what it’s made out of but it’s a problem that our entire moms group has. Just an FYI. It makes it hard to have good feeding experience. Also if you have a large dog (we have gold retriever) it isn’t tall enough to keep his nose off of..he loves it, but we thought it was taller
Safety Hazard - Broken Clip on Baby Set No Locks

We have been using our Trip Trap chair with baby set as well as the add on seat cushion. All seemed OK until I noticed today our child was able to pull the baby seat out of the seat plate. This is a significant safety hazard - the seat is supposed to clip into the seat plate and did for a while. However the plastic clip has now apparently worn out and does not lock into place. This part is not listed for sale under spare parts - but should be immediately replaced under warranty or voluntary recall program. The seat cushion design with the back straps for the baby harness is absolutely terrible - hard to remove in order to clean and wash it. Could have been much simpler to clean more Velcro around the rear harness straps.

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the experience you've had. It seems the issue you're describing may be related to the setup of the Tripp Trapp chair. If the front rail no longer clips in, it's likely due to improper placement, which can strain the chair and prevent proper function. We recommend reviewing the Tripp Trapp User Guide (digital version available) to ensure the setup meets the recommended parameters. A new Baby Set may not resolve the issue if the setup isn't adjusted correctly. Regarding the seat cushion design, we appreciate your feedback and will share it with our product team for future improvements. The Tripp Trapp is safe when assembled correctly, and we are here to help if you need further assistance. Thank you for your understanding.

The tray is so annoying to snap on and off. Babysitter couldn’t figure it out and the clip broke. The straps are also really awkward and don’t make for an easy on off. Sturdy and wipes fine. The Clikk high chair is way better. Wish the Tripp Trapp tray was built differently.

Hi Jocie, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Stokke® Tray. We understand how frustrating it can be when a product doesn't meet expectations, especially when it comes to ease of use. Your comments about the tray and straps are valuable to us, and we have recently released the Tripp Trapp® Baby Set² which address some of the qualities of the straps which you mention. We want to assure you that the original version of the harness has not been recalled, and these improvements are part of Stokke's continuous commitment to innovation. We're glad to hear that you find the chair sturdy and easy to clean, though. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team. We're here to help and want to ensure you have the best possible experience with our products.
Needs to be taken apart to adjust positions

The highchair is beautiful and seems very comfortable for baby. You have to completely take it apart to adjust it at all, which is absolutely ridiculous for a new expensive highchair. Also, nothing suction cups to the tray apparently nothing suction cups to any Stoke trays because they are not smooth

Hi Lee, Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you find the Tripp Trapp® High Chair² beautiful and comfortable for your baby. We understand your frustration with having to take it apart to make adjustments, however it is important to note that the loosening and retightening of the bolts to adjust the highchair is integral to ensuring the chair remains stable and safe for your child. Regarding the issue with suction cups, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Our highchair trays are not designed to be compatible with suction cups, nor are there any approved accessories that can be added to achieve this effect. The textured surface on all of our trays is the norm as we have not produced any "smooth" trays since 2016. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we're committed to making our products better. If you have any further concerns or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for choosing Stokke®!

The plastic baby part of the chair is way too small. My grandson could not fit in at the age of 4 month. Seems to be made for very small babies. Also, extremely difficult to remove the plastic part once installed. So far we have not been able to use the chair. Maybe once he is about 3 years old. Overpriced for what it is.

The worst straps known to man

I love everything about this high chair EXCEPT the straps. They are quite possibly the worst designed component of any product I have ever owned. Impossible to adjust, impossible to clean, impossible to unbuckle - which is insanely dangerous considering this is meant for babies just learning to chew and swallow solid food which poses a huge choking risk and being unable to unbuckle them from their high chair in an emergency is basically the biggest necessity. I have read countless reddit threads, watched numerous youtube videos, and read endless reviews from other sites selling this high chair and the verdict is the same across the board - everyone has these issues with the straps. This company clearly does not listen to their customers' concerns. The only resolution is to not use the straps, which is very frustrating. My 15mo baby is constantly trying to stand up and escape his chair, and I NEED straps to keep him held down, but unfortunately Stokke makes that an impossible feat.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear you love the high chair overall, but we understand your concerns regarding the harness. The Stokke harness is designed with safety as a top priority, and while it may take some getting used to, it is adjustable to ensure a secure fit. We appreciate that ease of use is important, and we will share your feedback with our product team for future improvements. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team for guidance on adjustments and maintenance to help improve your experience. Your input is valuable to us, and we’re here to help!
PLASTIC TRAY CHIPS

This is a good chair. My child loves it. It's easily adjustable and not an eyesore. However, the tray is fully plastic and chips away. If you are planning on your children learning to use utensils and would like them to avoid having pieces of plastic in and around their food then maybe look elsewhere! Something that can easily be solved and adjusted but in a world where the ingestion of plastics is headline news...this chair doesn't help!
1 reply from Your Stokke® Family team - 7 months ago
Thank you for your feedback! We’re happy to hear that you and your child love the chair and its adjustability. The tray is made from sturdy, easy-to-clean plastic and is designed to withstand daily use. However, like any plastic surface, repeated direct contact with sharp objects will cause wear over time. If you have any concerns, our customer service team would be happy to assess further.
