We really love our Tripp Trapp. It’s become such a natural part of our everyday life. From sharing lunch with her big sister to sitting right up at the table like a big girl, it’s one of those things we use without even thinking about it. The design is beautiful, but even more than that, it just works. It grows with her, fits right into our home, and makes mealtime feel like family time every time.

I love this chair so much and so do my children! It is so versatile and I put it to good use ranging from my 17 month told to my 4 year old! I love the dark wood brown it’s so classic and timeless. My favorite feature is how easily washable everything is! This chair will be in our family for generations and I love that!

Highly, highly recommend. We got the warm brown beechwood and it is one of my favorite additions to our home. It’s sturdy, beautiful, and has already become a little spot where so many memories are made.

I’ve been a nanny for over 30 years and have never encountered such a horrible high chair as this one. I gave it one star for looks and the attempt for multi purpose but it is a beast to try to take apart to clean and the buckles are stiff and bulky which seems uncomfortable for the baby.

Love love this high chair! It goes really nice with our decor and fits up right to our dining room table. We used it with our first child and now we are using it again with our second. We never had to buy a new one. It’s very durable and has been lasting us quite a few years.

I love that the Tripp Trapp grows with your child so that we can get many years of use out of it. The Natural Oak wood is beautiful and very well made. It was easy to put together, too. I can't wait to use this when our baby arrives in a few months!

When we started looking at baby products, my husband and I decided a couple things were incredibly important to us - sustainability and long term use. For us, that meant that we were comfortable spending a little more for something that we weren't going to need to replace in 6 months, and the fact that the Tripp Trapp can be used into adulthood was a major selling point for us. Baby is just about 6 months old and we've been using the chair for about a month now. Around 4-4.5 months, she really started wanting to sit up, and the ergonomics of the chair created a space where we were comfortable putting her in for short periods of time. I feel far more comfortable letting her explore some texture in food because she's in a position where I know she's learning to develop the right muscles for sitting and for eating. She LOVES sitting in the chair. She gets so excited when we put her in, which tells me it's also comfortable for her. Aside from her happiness with it, it was super easy to assemble. It took me about 20 minutes to put together. I know there are a lot of complaints on the internet about it being difficult to clean, but I haven't had that experience, with one exception. I don't worry too much about the spaces underneath her, but we have a dog who comes in and does a lot of that clean up for us. The only complaint I do have is that the lower buckle is difficult to clean. The top straps come off and can be tossed in the washing machine, but I can't remove the bottom buckle from the baby set to do the same.
So versatile!

We’ve loved our Stokke Tripp Trapp from the start! We used it as my son’s high chair from the time he was a baby, and now that he’s older, we’re still getting use out of it as a regular chair at the table. It’s incredibly versatile, grows with your child, and has such a clean, timeless look. Definitely worth the investment for something that lasts through so many stages!

We’ve been using this chair since my daughter was a baby, and it’s been with us through every stage from first messy meals to doodles and now homework time. What I love most is how it grows with the child. We adjusted it as she grew, and now it fits perfectly at her craft table. The design is sleek and timeless, and it’s incredibly sturdy (even after years of use). Definitely one of our most-used and loved items!

I can’t say enough good things about the Tripp Trapp high chair with the newborn attachment. As a parent of multiple little ones, I’ve tried many high chairs over the years, but this one is truly in a league of its own. From day one, the newborn attachment made it possible for my baby to be right at the table with the rest of the family. It’s sturdy, comfortable, and has the perfect recline to keep my baby cozy and safe while I cook, eat, or even help my other kids with homework. I love that I don’t have to put the baby on the floor or in a swing far away — they’re included in everything, and that connection has meant so much to us. The design is beautiful and sleek, easy to clean, and grows with your child, which makes it a smart long-term investment. You can really tell it was made with both baby and parent in mind. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate — this chair is worth every penny. Thank you, Tripp Trapp, for creating something that supports families so well!

Absolutely love this high chair! We originally had another brand but it just wasn’t working for us. After hearing so many great things about the Tripp Trapp, we finally decided to try it, and we’re so glad we did! Our baby is so comfortable in it, and we love how the adjustable seat and footrest grow with him. The harness keeps him safe, and the sleek design looks beautiful in our dining area. It's also super lightweight, so we can easily move it from room to room. Totally worth the investment, highly recommend!

Sturdy but suction bowls don’t stick to tray

Nice sturdy chair, but we can’t find any bowls that suction to this tray. I don’t know what it’s made out of but it’s a problem that our entire moms group has. Just an FYI. It makes it hard to have good feeding experience. Also if you have a large dog (we have gold retriever) it isn’t tall enough to keep his nose off of..he loves it, but we thought it was taller
Safety Hazard - Broken Clip on Baby Set No Locks

We have been using our Trip Trap chair with baby set as well as the add on seat cushion. All seemed OK until I noticed today our child was able to pull the baby seat out of the seat plate. This is a significant safety hazard - the seat is supposed to clip into the seat plate and did for a while. However the plastic clip has now apparently worn out and does not lock into place. This part is not listed for sale under spare parts - but should be immediately replaced under warranty or voluntary recall program. The seat cushion design with the back straps for the baby harness is absolutely terrible - hard to remove in order to clean and wash it. Could have been much simpler to clean more Velcro around the rear harness straps.

Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the experience you've had. It seems the issue you're describing may be related to the setup of the Tripp Trapp chair. If the front rail no longer clips in, it's likely due to improper placement, which can strain the chair and prevent proper function. We recommend reviewing the Tripp Trapp User Guide (digital version available) to ensure the setup meets the recommended parameters. A new Baby Set may not resolve the issue if the setup isn't adjusted correctly. Regarding the seat cushion design, we appreciate your feedback and will share it with our product team for future improvements. The Tripp Trapp is safe when assembled correctly, and we are here to help if you need further assistance. Thank you for your understanding.

The tray is so annoying to snap on and off. Babysitter couldn’t figure it out and the clip broke. The straps are also really awkward and don’t make for an easy on off. Sturdy and wipes fine. The Clikk high chair is way better. Wish the Tripp Trapp tray was built differently.

We want to assure you that the original version of the harness has not been recalled, and these improvements are part of Stokke's continuous commitment to innovation. We're glad to hear that you find the chair sturdy and easy to clean, though. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team. The plastic baby part of the chair is way too small. My grandson could not fit in at the age of 4 month. Seems to be made for very small babies. Also, extremely difficult to remove the plastic part once installed. So far we have not been able to use the chair. Maybe once he is about 3 years old. Overpriced for what it is.

The worst straps known to man

I love everything about this high chair EXCEPT the straps. They are quite possibly the worst designed component of any product I have ever owned. Impossible to adjust, impossible to clean, impossible to unbuckle - which is insanely dangerous considering this is meant for babies just learning to chew and swallow solid food which poses a huge choking risk and being unable to unbuckle them from their high chair in an emergency is basically the biggest necessity. I have read countless reddit threads, watched numerous youtube videos, and read endless reviews from other sites selling this high chair and the verdict is the same across the board - everyone has these issues with the straps. This company clearly does not listen to their customers' concerns. The only resolution is to not use the straps, which is very frustrating. My 15mo baby is constantly trying to stand up and escape his chair, and I NEED straps to keep him held down, but unfortunately Stokke makes that an impossible feat.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy to hear you love the high chair overall, but we understand your concerns regarding the harness. The Stokke harness is designed with safety as a top priority, and while it may take some getting used to, it is adjustable to ensure a secure fit. We appreciate that ease of use is important, and we will share your feedback with our product team for future improvements. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team for guidance on adjustments and maintenance to help improve your experience. PLASTIC TRAY CHIPS

This is a good chair. My child loves it. It's easily adjustable and not an eyesore. However, the tray is fully plastic and chips away. If you are planning on your children learning to use utensils and would like them to avoid having pieces of plastic in and around their food then maybe look elsewhere! Something that can easily be solved and adjusted but in a world where the ingestion of plastics is headline news...this chair doesn't help!
1 reply from Your Stokke® Family team - 7 months ago
Thank you for your feedback! We’re happy to hear that you and your child love the chair and its adjustability. The tray is made from sturdy, easy-to-clean plastic and is designed to withstand daily use. However, like any plastic surface, repeated direct contact with sharp objects will cause wear over time. If you have any concerns, our customer service team would be happy to assess further.
