Q: are the Hearth and Hand dishes lead free?

A: Yes, the FDA standards mean that they are supposedly lead safe but that doesn't mean free of lead. So they are not actually safe.

These salad plates are exactly what I was looking for in dishes. Unfortunately target does not offer shipping on the dinner plates, which makes it very hard when you don’t have a target where you live! Come on target ship the dinner plates please!

I have ordered these plates twice. The only option is delivery so I had to take that chance. The reason I ordered them twice was because the first order came in broken. So I did a return and refund and ordered another set. Just arrived broken again. This isn't really against the brand. It's against target shipping. The shipping box upon arrival was barely taped shut and broken. Nowhere on the box was it notated fragile shipping. Inside the box, there wasn't even any packing for fragile items. So now I have to either bring it to a shipping store, get a new box and package it up for a return, wait for them to receive it so I can receive my refund. Or I get the othe lovely option of returning it in store , during some of the craziest shopping time right after Thanksgiving. Then take a chance to order it again because they are not sold in stores. Target, this is ridiculous.

Absolutely love these plates but sadly they’re not totally microwave-safe. I bought 2 sets and sadly after only a few months, they started cracking and shattering in half in the microwave. So disappointing because they really are beautiful, but not practical or well made

These are pretty plates, but the chip and scratch SOOOO easily. I am very careful with them and feel like it’s a chore to try to keep these in good condition. I rarely use them because I don’t want them to get scratched or chipped. Definitely NOT usable with children… so basically a waste of money for me, and I bought the ENTIRE set of plates and bowls…. Extremely disappointed.

If you want marks from silverware all over your dishes, buy these. Own 12 dinner plates, 12 salad plates and I’m even seeing marks on my 8 bowls. SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY!!!! Sooooo wish I could return these…..

These plates are not matte! They have a glossy finish. I returned them thinking they sent me the wrong item. Reordered and the new plates have a glossy finish on them as well. I have the matte black plates and these white matte plates are nothing like the black. Not a matte finish at all.
