I take this whenever I get that thick mucus sitting in my throat, or as I like to call it "my craw".....one shot of this in a little water and it clears that yuk away.

I've always believed and said, "Take care of your Liver, and your Liver will take care of you." There is no shortage of articles everywhere about how beneficial Licorice Root is for the Liver. I have taken care of my Liver for six decades with the recognized nutritional supplements noted for that purpose. Also, by being very discriminating about my diet. Since I feel that one's Liver is the most important, abused, and overworked organ in the body, I finally woke up to recognizing the additional value of Licorice for optimum Liver health. I knew about it, but I just had not paid attention to the depth of value in using Licorice. Then recently, some of the articles about Licorice's therapeutic value to the Liver must have hit home with me. I already take plenty of capsules and tablets, so I love to find important nutritional factors available in liquid form, and even better when they are alcohol and sugar-free, as is this Licorice Root Liquid Extract. I already have a number of Herbal Liquid Extracts that I buy from Swanson and add to my Super-Food Cocktail that I drink around noon most days, so adding this Licorice Root Extract was easy. No noticeable taste from this or any of my other Herbal Liquid Extracts. There is plenty going on in that drink. Each individual ingredient gets "lost" in the mixture. I'm very pleased with every marker concerning my Liver and its effect on my overall health and wellbeing. I'm feeling very strongly about the importance of Licorice Root Extract being a regular part of my Super Cocktail. Works for me.

Not the good deal it appears because it's 1/3 weaker than other brands I've tried that taste equally good and work as well.

A few drops "will do ya" to paraphrase an old commercial. Useful in culinary and cosmetic recipes at my house.

I take licorice extract to support my cortisol levels, and it works for that - gives me extra energy. However, it tastes pretty bad. The brand I was using before (that I bought from my naturopath) was Wise Woman Herbals, and that was excellent quality stuff. It tasted like the highest quality, sugarless licorice candy you can imagine. This Swanson stuff tastes awful, but, like I said, it works.

I like licorice and taking it this way is easier than ever.. I hate taking large amounts of capsule etc. thus I put it in any drink and walah! gets right to the blood stream. wish there were more extracts manufactured this way..My only complaint is that they do not come in 2 oz. bottles.

I 1st bought Licorice extract on the advice of Dr Oz but subsequently did research and found that Licorice extract not only give the Raspberry Key-tones a kick up but is very beneficial in relieving stress. I have a stressful job. I produce software fo the financial industry and many millions of dollars are always at risk if a mistake is made. Since adding the Licorice Extract to my dietary regimen I have lost 60 pounds and I am much more relaxed at work.

i love licorice root tea every so often. the convenience of an extract is i can add it to drinking water and give it a little pizzaz !
