Swanson Saw Palmetto 160 mg 120 Softgels.

This is the first time I have had a problem with a Swanson product. This bottle of Saw Palmetto has an expiration date of 04/25 yet the softgels are cloudy and have a strange odor. I have called customer service and they have credited my credit card for the cost.

Excellent quality standardized extract softgels. More easily digested than some others I have tried and more effective than berries alone. I also like that it doesn't have other herbs mixed in.

Wife loses her hair. This is supposed to have some benefits. Not sure if it's working yet.

Very rarely do I do reviews. This time is the exception. This stuff works for me. It may not for you.....but it does for me. And not like what you may think. Ya I get up a few times at night. I still do, but not nearly as much. The impact for me has been during the day. I’m a recreational biker, hiker, and skier. For the first time in a long time, I can extend my recreation and not be concerned about a bathroom break! Also, I can drive a road trip with confidence knowing I can keep going without knowing where the next rest stop is! About 12 years ago I tried flomax. Horrible headaches. Disturbing disorientation. I just gave up. Until this stuff this last august 2020. It took about a week or so, and I started experiencing the positive results. By no means am I now 40 years younger. But this is a big positive step. This has improved the quality of my life. It’s a pretty cheap risk to give it a try. 66 year old male......Good luck!

I read where the 160 mg is the max effective dose - anything over that doesn't improve it. I had been buying this at various local stores and one by one they stopped handling it. Then I bought it one time at a store that only sells vitamins and supplements and it was much more expensive. This arrived promptly, is a reasonable price and agrees with me so I am happy with it. I also ordered 6 mg Lutein for the same reasons as above with the same results.

I've been taking Swanson's Saw Palmetto products for over 20 years and have yearly checkups with normal PSA levels. My urologist says to keep doing what I've been doing.

The research on saw palmetto was done using 320mg - not 160mg. I bought this not knowing about the research and we found no effect. So we had to double the dose and still no effect. But the competing brand with added pumpkin extract also hardly has a noticeable effect unless we really UP THE DOSE. Also the competing brand is cheaper. So we are a little disappointed at the results and cost.

I used to get this saw palmetto when it was certified organic. On my original label it stated; USPlus Certified Organic 160 mg Supercritical CO2 Saw Palmetto Berry Extract (with organic olve oil) The new label just says: Supercritical CO2 Saw Palmetto Berry Extract (with olive oil) I wish they would return to the certified organic formula.

this is by far the purest, highest potency saw palmetto that I have found yet. I am completely satisfied with the quality and efficacy of this product

DH was using higher dosage for years, but doc recommended 160 mg. Hard to find 160 mg locally, but Swanson had it. Seems perfect!

original formula was organic just 2yrs ago, but details of that remain lost here. i found it more effective with old formula.

Every man over 30 should be using Saw Palmetto,this is a quality product,and a great price.

This product is great for men.

(One must admire the pickers because as a former surveyor who used to trek though these palmetto thickets, I do know they brave the rattlesnakes every time they go out to gather.)
