Q: Can I use this with contact lenses?

A: Yes you can use it with contact lenses, but you will get the best benefit if you use it about 5 minutes before you put your contact lenses in, so it can properly coat your entire eye. I like to use it at the end of the day after I take my contacts out too! Thank you for your interest in Systane!

A: Alcon’s patented PureFlow® Technology, a multi-dose closing tip bottle system features a one-way valve to ensure that no contaminated liquid is re-introduced into the container after a drop has been dispensed. This bottle technology eliminates the need for preservatives in the eye drops. Sorry for the delayed response, there was an error in the system that notifies me when someone asks a question!

Q: How many times per day can I use these drops? Are there any side effects due to overusage?

A: These drops are preservative free, so they are best for sensitive eyes or people that use drops 4 or more times a day. These drops provide temporary relief (8 hours) from dry eye symptoms. Q: What is the expiration date on the box? The doctor's office sells the same item with an expiration date good for 16 months past today.

A: Thanks for your interest in Systane! This item has an 18 month shelf life, but I don't have a way of knowing the expiration date on the box that you will receive. It is best to use the product within 3 months of opening the bottle.

I can barley get a drop in my eye!! The way the bottle is designed is Crack! I've got more drops on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose than actually in my eyes. I'd say until they fix their dispenser, don't waste your money!! When I get it in my eyes, it stings and I don't feel much relief. My ophthalmologist recommended these, I was using another of their drops and loved them...maybe after I've squirted these all over my face, I'll just go back to the regular drops

Agree with other reviewers who note the bottle is difficult to use (impossible to get only one drop out) and the drops don’t seem as effective as they used to be. They work fine but not my favorite.

Flat bottle tip makes it useless. Why would any company make a tip like this? It takes so many tries to get the drops in and most ends up on your cheek or the floor. You might actually get 3 or 4 drops out of the whole bottle and waste the rest. This tip is why I can no longer use Restasis either.

I like the original one better. This bottle is weird and leaves extra liquid on the tip after squeezing into eye. I dislike the bottle, and the eye drops seemed to not work as well as the original.

My favorite eye drops but why the flat dispenser? It makes it difficult to get in my eye and means I have to put it really close to my eyeball or pull out my bottom lid pretty far. Despite this I buy because they work really well for my severe dry eye and are preservative free which is important when using drops as much as I do.
