Q: can this be used while wearing contacts?

A: Alcon recommends to use Systane before or after you insert your contact lenses, this allows the drops to properly coat your entire eye. Wait 5-10 minutes before reinserting contact lenses after use. Thanks for your interest in Systane!

Q: can I use the single vial a second time or does it need to be thrown away after using just 1or 2 drops.

A: The vial is designed specifically for one-time use. The vials have extra product for those consumers who might miss their eye while applying the medication. The risk for product contamination increases after the vial is open due to the lack of preservatives. Systane Hydration Preservative Free is now available in a multi-dose bottle, the bottle uses a one-way back flow valve so there is no need for preservatives! Thank you for your interest in Systane!

These drops work the best for my eyes however the price increase is crazy! I remember it used to be $14.99 a few years ago. I recently bought these on July 2nd for $18.99 and now it has increased to $23.99 within weeks. It's just frustrating!

Switched from Refresh and so glad I did. I have dry eyes (schirmer test was a 2) and refresh felt like it was going on and immediately going away where this feels like it actually stays on the outside Iike a shield for my eyes while also hydrating them. Don’t let the price and the amount of vials you get fool you (esp compared to refresh. The vials are twice the size as the ones with refresh so less plastic overall between the amount of “holders” for your fingers- if that makes sense lol- and they’re also not split up and packaged in plastic inside the box.) I do like that you don’t have to keep opening new vials but I can also see the advantage of having a smaller vial. To me what matters is how much it helps my eyes and these are hands down better for me. So 10/10 highly recommend

Visine burns. Refresh drops don't do enough. These drops have been the most soothing and moisturizing of all. My eyes seem to like them even more than the celluvisc or the other ones that have oil. They are the perfect everyday/night eyedrops.

So happy to have found this. I seem to have developed extra sensitivity in my eyes when the pollen count is high. My eyes were so bad I was convinced that I had an infection. A friend said that she had talked to a lot of people with the same complaint. I researched eye drops for allergies as far as ingredients go. Within an hour my eyes felt so much better. Now when I wake up with the same symptoms I don't stress, I just put a couple of drops in and ask able to wear my contacts! Only drawback is the price.

It helps with moderate dry. However, my eyes had severe light sensitivity with these eyedrops. The problem is that you don’t realize how much light reflects off of cars until you have such bad light sensitivity that it’s painful to drive. I’m back using Refresh and the light sensitivity is gone.
