First, the seat height is 27", not the 25" advertised. If you want a 25" seat height, DO NOT ORDER THIS STOOL. Unfortunately, my husband assembled all the chairs prior to me sitting in one then measuring it.. It felt very high and upon measuring it, found it is 2" taller than what I ordered, resulting in neck and back discomfort when looking down for any duration of time. It is a 360 swivel, which makes one have to straighten the base out continually after sitting in it, as there is no spring action to return the seat to the neutral position. In fairness, there was no mention of the type of the swivel, it's only advertised as 'swivel'. (Our 24 year old stools, which we replaced with the Safavieh Tage stool, had spring swivel, so that is what I was expecting without thinking about it,) The seat is completely flat which does not provide the best in comfort. If I had seen & sat in the first assembled stool before the other 3 were assembled, I would have returned them. It would have been difficult to disassemble all 4 after my husband put a couple hours into assembly. He is more pleased than I with them.
