Very tasty treat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to Tastykake and Influenster for the free sample of their creme-filled koffee cake cupcakes. I love a coffee cake, though I almost always drop a few sugary crumbs along the way, and was curious what the creme would do to the experience. It adds a little more sweetness, more akin to a frosting than a custard, without a distinctive flavor. I ate them all (far too quickly) as a quick dessert snack and would likely prefer that to a breakfast treat alongside a morning coffee. Though, as a dunker, that creme may do double duty to enrich the coffee as much as the cake.

Reminds me of my childhood snacks

The portion sizes are just right as you can have one or two and it would not be too much. They tasted quite fresh without any aftertaste at all. Overall, I would recommend these for a fika, coffee, or chai break.

I love anything coffee cake flavored so I decided to give these a try and I am so glad I did! Pros: They smell like vanilla heaven and taste even better than they smell. The texture is a perfect crumb and they have no aftertaste. Because of the packaging, they are super fresh and moist. There is a good amount of cream filling inside and it is sweet but not overwhelming. The package is perfect for the pantry and the little two pack is ideal for lunches. The little cardboard on the bottom keeps them from getting squished. At 120 calories each, it helps you limit yourself and avoid over indulging! Cons: Absolutely nothing. These are a true gem. Buy on repeat!!!
