Could have been better.
They Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies were disappointing. They had a burnt aftertaste that was a bit strong. If there is a next time, I will try something different.

False Advertising
These are NOT good at all. I feel like this is false advertising because the name of the cookie is “Salted Caramel chocolate Chip Cookie”. Unless you read the ingredients you would not know you are buying something with butterscotch chips in it. That should be listed in the name of the cookie since it’s a main part of the taste of the cookie.

Tastes artificial
These taste like chocolate chip cookies with caramel extract or artificial flavoring or something, and not actual caramel. I expect more from Tate’s so this is disappointing.

The cookies are crispy, the salted caramel pieces are crunchy, the chocolate pieces are smooth and creamy. There’s goodness in every bite! I paired mine with a warm cup of coffee and the cookies stood up to the dunk test. These would be scrumptious crumbled on top of ice cream and sturdy enough to make an ice cream sandwich. Perfect balance of all the things I’d want in a cookie!
