Lid rattles slightly
Heat is even and the coating is great, so the pan itself gets no complaints. The lid is the weak point, since it rattles a little once steam builds up. Not enough to stop me using it, though it is the sort of thing that could be tightened up. The cooking alone still earns a recommendation.

Cooking bolder
Braver in the kitchen is what this has made me. I try recipes now that I would have skipped before for fear of scorching them.

Corrects old range
One burner on my electric range runs hot and this pan seems to even that out. Food cooks the same all the way across now.

Happy choice
Went back and forth between this and a brand costing twice as much, picked this, and have not regretted it once. Even heat, quick cleanup, and it looks good on the stove.

Korea quality real
Made in Korea and it shows, with tight construction, a smooth interior, and no hint of warping so far.

Big batch comfort
Cooked chicken and vegetables for five and still had room to spare. Everything cooked at the same rate instead of steaming in a pile.

Glaze no match
Teriyaki glaze is the real test and this passed it. However sticky it got, everything still released, and that is when I stopped doubting the coating.

Matte black beauty
Sharp looking on the stove and it cooks better than it looks. The matte black has not picked up a single scratch through regular use.

Beats pricier brands
Compared this against a couple of pricier pans in the store and it won. Better grip on the handle, lighter in the hand, and it cooks at least as well.

Risotto nailed
Risotto is fussy and this handled it. The wide base let me keep the rice moving evenly with no sticking or scorching anywhere.

Even heat confirmed
Wherever the food sits in the pan it cooks at the same rate. Forged aluminum really does behave differently from thin stamped metal.

Breakfast to dinner
Pancakes in the morning, braised chicken thighs at night, and plenty in between. There is not much I have thrown at it that it does not do well.

Curry depth wins
Curry was the test, and the depth let me stir coconut milk in without it sloshing over the side. Glad I sized up to the five quart.

Coat wore quickly
Wear marks turned up on the coating around month three, which surprised me because I had been careful. Hand wash only, soft sponge, never anything metal. The release has clearly faded since then, so eggs need oil and they still catch a little. What annoys me is how good it was at the start. At this price I expected a couple of solid years before anything like this.

Heats up fast
Thicker aluminum comes up to temperature faster than the flimsy pans I used before, so there is less standing around and dinner arrives sooner.

Safe for family
Being PFAS free decided it for me, since I am cooking for two small children. That it also cooks this well was a bonus.

Family meals covered
Pasta sauce for six went in and the depth was exactly right. Nothing spattered onto the stove and the wash up took no time.

Skeptic turned fan
Expected very little for the money, since I have been burned before by pans that look good on the shelf and fall apart by month three. This one turned my opinion around completely. Six months of cooking most nights and I cannot find any degradation in the coating. The handle is as tight as the day it arrived and it still sits perfectly flat on my glass top. I have started recommending it to people unprompted, which given how much I talk about cooking amounts to a lot of people.

Honest update
Over a year of ownership now, so here is an honest check in. The coating is intact and still releasing everything I put on it. My routine is nothing special, just a hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge every time. The handle has never wobbled once. What impressed me most is the edges, since that is usually where a pan starts to fail, and mine still look smooth and unmarked. If anything happened to this one I would order the same again without hesitating.

Deep and versatile
Deep enough for soup and stew, with a base wide enough to actually cook in. Paying a bit more for real quality was the right call.
