    Formula Changed

    Thayers claims this was just a packaging change, but that is not true. The formula of this item has changed. See attached photos with the new bottle on the left, and old bottle on the right. Additional junk ingredients, including fragrance, have been added to this product. Read further down the label, and you will see that Thayers is now owned by L’Oreal, who must have finally ran out of the old inventory, and replaced it with a newer, cheaper formula.

    cooling aftershave

    I might be the only guy reviewing but I have been using this as a pre aftershave for years. I put this on after my shave then I apply a splash or balm. Works great on a newly scrapped face! My go to.

    Not the same formula… Even though they claim it was just the look of the bottle that changed. I won’t buy from a company that blatantly lies.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I were summarizing: • For oily to normal, combination skin types looking for a gentle, everyday toner to refresh, prep the skin, refine pores a bit and avoid heavy stripping, this is a very solid choice. • For dry or very sensitive skin, it can still be used — but I’d recommend: use less frequently (maybe once daily or every other day), ensure you follow with a good moisturizer, and maybe choose a version with milder scent/less bio-active if you’re cautious.

    Disappointed With New Formula

    My experience was with the ORIGINAL toner formula. Not this new one. Why do companies mess with a good thing? This new formula is a step down, not a step up. As many others have said, go back to your original formulas!

    Beware of the new product! Damages skin barrier!

    The new formula completely wrecked my skin barrier! I was a loyal user for years and I loved how this toner would leave my skin. After using the new formula, my skin is wrecked. This has burned my skin, and it is peeling and so dry. Now I am trying to repair it and it is taking a long time. So disappointed and upset that it left my skin on horrible condition. It has never been damaged the way it is now with any products. Horrible!
