Did you know that there are glasses to prevent motion sickness...Or that astronauts can get "space sick"...This hilarious and wacky illustrated book is jam-packed with silly facts, crazy activities, and even recipes (Barf-day cake, anyone?) that will have you learning all about the fascinating world of barf, our bodies, and beyond. Yes, barf is gross. But...it also kind of tells us a lot about how our bodies work? Whether it's that saliva protects your teeth from vomit or that your stomach can hold 4 quarts of food and liquid...Vomit is the revolting, disgusting, slimy, gooey but also hurl-arious fabric that holds us together! The Big Book of Barf is perfect the curious science-loving kids who love to digest (and then regurgitate) cool and crazy facts. This colorful and engaging book is filled with myths and history about vomit, humorous health hacks to keep your food down, facts about your digestive system, activities for home, jokes, and more! All this gastronomic gargle-gravy goodness will entertain and inform young readers whether at home, in school, or especially [cough, gag, heave] in the bathroom.Review Quotes
"This info-gusher, plainly a labor of love, will draw readers like flies....A sure crowd pleaser." --Kirkus Reviews "With an unending stream of puns, rhymes, and corny dad jokes with some interesting science mixed in, this is sure to appeal to reluctant readers or kids who are attracted to the grosser aspects of life." --School Library Journal

My daughter saw this at the library and wanted a copy of her own. She reads it every night before she goes to bed. I'm excitedt to see her get excited about science even if it is gross.

Wasn't sure about this one based on the title, but I have to say it's real cute. My grandson can't get enough of it and that's saying alot. He's never been a big reader, but he's hooked on this one.

Really funny. So many puns. But educational too. Kid's are learning lots (and honestly, I am too.) We haven't tried recipes yet, but I want to make dry heave dip soon!

Even kids who aren't super excited about science or even reading will find a reason to love this book. It combines lots of solid science with humor, surprising facts and--get this--even recipes! This is going to be my go-to for birthday gifts and holiday presents. I want to get a copy for my child's teacher too!
