The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition (Blue-eyed Girl Scout Elf), Includes Storybook, Keepsake Box, and Adoption Certificate

She is great. We love her! She will be a great addition to our collection.

She did not come with a skirt. Her earrings are silverish smears instead of white pearls or white pearlescent dots as displayed in all the commercials. Needless to say, I was very, very disappointed. The plusher Girl Scout comes with a skirt and the correct earrings. So, why does the girl Elf on the Shelf look like a Boy wearing earrings? Which is not what I was buying!

We have owned the Elf for about 2 years now and though its cute and the kids love him, the actual elf is very cheaply made and very expensive for what we received. The elf has no feet just little points for feet, the elf does not have any wires or ability to pose unless you do some self improvement stuff, there are no magnets placed in the hands and feet for more posability. Just a doll rigid doll with a plastic head. Again, fun idea but at this point the 40 dollar purchase price is based on the popularity and not the actual product.

Fun tradition, I just wish there were more types of or coloring like even a blond elf on the shelf would be a HUGE step. I think a light skinned girl with brown hair and eyes would be cute, as well as a boy version of course. Freckles would also be so cute!!! In the books and movies there are so many different elves but you’re telling me the option is pale with blue eyes and brown hair or tan with brown eyes and hair? I think it would be so fun if the kid could look like their elf. Especially if it was customizable for the parents. Please elf on the shelf.

This is so fun! Also keeps my kids occupied! Also they can make a mess, so set some boundaries!

I bought this a few years ago and I’m glad I did. I love the whole story behind the elf on the shelf.

Asking why they cannot make a light skinned boy or girl with brown eyes? Or even green eyes for that matter and the same with dark skinned elves? Change the eye color for more personalization please.

I was disappointed to find that the elf is not at all posable. I was expecting wire or somethibg in the arms and legs so it would hold postures. It seems a lot cheaper than I expected.

Our daughter adored Elf on the Shelf, and we're still cherishing the experience. She's reluctant to part with her elf heading back to the North Pole. The packaging and stamps added a delightful touch, making it a perfect holiday gift.

My husband and I were really excited to get our elf (Shimmer) this year. I wanted to wait till our son was old enough to get excited about it and he sure was. Having Shimmer this year just added to our holiday fun and I am so excited for her to visit us again next year.

This elf is the talk of the kindergarten class and pre-K class! The 4 and 5 yr old was sooo excited that Santa sent them an elf ! My daughter said she cannot keep up with all the antics that the other parents did with the elf, making him/her mischievous. I told her, you make the elf what you want it to be. He/She doesn't need to be naughty, in fact, quite the opposite. The children looked so forward to see where the elf was hiding every day. They even made a bed in a basket for her! I did receive a book that was torn on 2 pages, I called Santa's workshop, and no problem, I received a replacement within 2 days. All before the holidays!

The elf looks great and my son loves it. My only suggestion is that they should make the elves poseable, as they have a hard time getting into a creative pose, you have to open the seams and put in wires to make the antics look magically real. Otherwise, my children love to have it around.

The book is very sweet and a fun read. I enjoyed the artwork very much.

My daughter loves it! She especially liked it when her elf, Sugar, showed up sitting on one of the branches of the Christmas tree! She even came up with a recipe for Abbey's Elf Cereal! My impressions: well made, good story and shipping was fast. I chose standard shipping and it got here in 3 days!
