Emma Bailey is raising triplets alone, and needs to buy expensive medicine for her daughter. Carter McCaw vowed never to marry. Emma needs insurance that Carter has. This was such a delightful modern day take on a marriage of convenience. Emma and Carter were so likable and it was a pleasure to watch them both change throughout the story. I loved the kindness they showed to each other and seeing the depths of their hearts. It was a pleasure to watch them both discover who they were meant to be and fall in love. Carter’s family and Emma’s good friends complemented the story. The setting of Emma’s goat farm was perfect. What is there not to love about goats, triplets, and a sweet community. This beautiful redemptive story was a wonderful read. I am so glad I was able to visit Emma’s goat farm and my other friends from the Triple C Ranch. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and highly recommend! I was given a complimentary copy and not required to write a positive review.

The Farmer’s Marriage Bargain is a solid addition to the Triple C Ranch series. Set in Serenity, Texas, the well-paced plot, featuring a rather unique marriage of convenience, drew me in quickly and kept me reading and totally immersed to the end. I became emotionally involved with the relatable main characters, their real-life struggles, and the outcome of their story. I could feel their anxiety and pain as Emma struggles with financial woes and trust issues and Carter with arthritis and the feeling of not being enough for Emma and the triplets. Carter is my favorite character. I so admired his persistence in being involved, thoughtful, and helpful in his efforts to be a good husband and father despite his physical limitations and Emma’s resistance and insistence on being self-reliant. I found myself far more empathetic to Carter than to Emma who could not let go of the past and move on with her life. The question I kept asking myself was, “Will Emma’s secrets, fierce independence, and clinging to her deceased husband’s memory thwart their budding romantic relationship?” I appreciate that Carter and Emma sought to make decisions in line with their faith and demonstrated the importance of prayer and seeking God’s will. I totally enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. Note: Even though it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.
