From their research, the authors gleaned that the Burris family, whose name variations include Burroughs, Burrows, Burrus, Burruss, Burress, and Burriss, are usually highly regarded, considered trustworthy, and honest. While some of the data comes from oral accounts of descendants and other individuals, most of it was secured from written records.
