A: The US EPA and WHO have concluded that there is a reasonable certainty that no harm will result to bees or other terrestrial wildlife if using the product according to label instructions. The mosquito repellent vapors produced by our product rapidly disseminate in the air and little of the repellent ingredient falls on surfaces such as surrounding foliage where bees might land. Our mosquito products are also most often used in the evening when bees are returning to their nest (also true of butterflies and other foraging insects). If you raise bees, avoid using repellent in the immediate vicinity of the bee hives.

Disappointed
I think the product worked well however, my initial use only lasted about four hours. Certainly not the 12 hours. It says it contains.

New unopened refill came almost completely empty
I am extremely disappointed! Just received this as a gift not only did the repellent that came with it came only half full (so I will not be getting the 12 hours promised on the box) the extra one purchase that is supposed to last 40 hours came almost completely empty!! These refills aren’t cheap to start with and now I can only get a fraction of the promise protection time because they are sending nearly empty ones!! Not worth the money!!

TOTAL FAILURE!!
Totally worthless device. I got it charged & everything was working as it was supposed to. Then I took the device outside & placed it within 3 feet of where I was. Did not faze the mosquitoes one bit. They were all over me instantly & additional time did not improve the situation. I gave up & tried the device the next 3 evenings with no better success. This was a TOTAL FAIL! Will be returning this week.

Fantastic!!!! I can sit outside!!!
Used these on a trip to Alaska. The Thermacell was the first thing unpacked and turned on went setting up camp, and the last thing packed when breaking down camp. No problems with mosquitoes for the entire trip. Thank you!!!! We turned one on even when stopped on the side of the road for rest of lunch.

Can't do deet!
My husband can't do any deet or other chemicals to avoid mosquitoes and I stumbled across this last year and now they have updated to rechargeable units. These are amazing and they really do work! He can enjoy sitting outside anywhere! We have 2 and take them everywhere we may go to be outside.

I moved to New Mexico from Massachusetts, thinking I was saying goodbye forever to mosquitos. That lasted about 17 years until our climate shifted just enough to allow the tiniest, striped devils to take root in the desert. The past two years have been unbearable! Thankfully, a friend told me about Thermacell, and it's been a life-changer. I set it out and in no time, I'm back to having coffee on the porch, weeding my garden undisturbed, or having friends over on the patio at sunset. Can’t even use the cartridge.
After charging my thermacell like suggested I went to open the cartridge and the cap was very difficult to open. I pulled up on the cartridge lid harder and it came off. Also, in the process the wick was broken. Cannot use this product now as the wick broke smooth off.

Not super happy with product
Bought this product a few weeks ago- just took out of the box to use- the reseller is all over me and my clothing. Going into the trash!!!

Morning Coffee on the Balcony
I have used the product and it works well. However the refill does not last 12 hours as advertised. It was empty in less than 6 hours of use. I have purchased a 40 hour refill and I hope it week last 40 hours as advertised. The refills are very expensive. This is a low cost product but it works.

Does not work!
I bought this one thinking it would be the same if not better than the patio shield, I was wrong! This thing did not work at all, not even close to the potential of the patio shield. So many bug bites!
