Thomas & Friends Motorized Percy Toy Train Engine

We love this Percy! It works great but it goes through batteries quickly!

We are disappointed that the only Thomas toys available to buy anymore are from the AEG reboot, which my 5 + 6 yr old kids are incredibly sad about. We used to spend a lot of money at Target on Thomas and Friends toys, but kids want nothing to do with All Engines Go as it does not represent anything even close to the characters they love and is mainly only appealing to toddler/early preschool age range.

Works well but doesn’t really stay on the normal train tracks. We were looking for a replacement engine and unfortunately, this just isn’t the one. It has a lot of power but won’t stay on the track.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son really enjoyed the motorized Percy toy, we do wish it was a little bit more powerful, as my son likes to add lots of extra cars to the main engine. Colors were great and spot on, and facial expression is nice and playful and doesn’t look out of place like some other models offered. It would be cool if there were different facial expressions for each character that could be swapped.

They had fun playing with them straight out of the box, which was fortunate since they had to wait a few days for me to get batteries for them. After finally getting to play with them, my son was disappointed that the trains were strong enough to go up his hills.

My only disappointment is that this train is too tall to be compatible with our current train track set, he fits on the tracks but won’t go through the tunnels. But I can’t assume that all trains will work on all tracks, so it’s ok! Still worth it!

Even though the train’s cargo cart doesn’t stay together long, she still had lots of fun with it! Her and her older sister raced their trains! I highly recommended the trains!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute product, but not as durable as I would have hoped for a toddler toy. I have some concerns if a child were to play rough with it that it would break easily and small parts could become a chocking hazard or sharp plastic shards.

It’s very simple for children’s small fingers to turn on and off with the switch on top. They enjoy watching it motor on. It’s quiet and smooth on it’s journey. It’s also a very sturdy piece, so will withhold lots of play.

They loved that it has a removable trailer. They put several small items in the trailer and pretended to be on a work site. Lots of fun

It has a thicker body than some of the older style trains and is easy for little and big fingers to use. Simple on and off controls and a decent speed. Definitely recommend it as an addition to your Thomas and friends collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fisher Price Thomas & Friends Percy with a motorized engine kept my kids engaged for days. They still play with him. It's a very durable toy it has held up to lots of play. The battery is very easy to install and he is ready for the kids to turn on and off all by their selves. It came with a train car and they love putting little things in it and then watch it go. The only con for me was that the battery seemed to run down really fast. I had to change it after a couple days of use but honestly it's a great Toy and my kids are still playing with it alot.

It’s his first experience with a train that can move itself and has so much fun chasing it around. It’s really well made and easy for my son to turn on and off and connect the train to the cart it pulls. The batteries are easy to install and extremely secure so I don’t have to ever worry about anything coming loose . My son has enjoyed this very much . I think it’s the first of many electric trains in his future .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little toy train. It is super easy to set up and get going, which is good for the younger kids. Once placed on the track it's only a flip of switch to get Percy on his way, and once he gets going he chugs along the track at a pretty good pace. It's worth noting that there is only one speed and it can seem a bit fast at times for the younger crowd however this also translates into pulling power so Percy is more than equipped to pull all his cargo down the line.
