If you’re looking to eliminate all the GMOs and high-sugar cereals typically pushed through advertisements, I highly recommend giving this cereal a shot! Personally, the fact that they use peas instead of corn or rice is a big win — more fiber and protein! They also use very little to no sugar and sweeten with monk fruit instead of stevia (which usually has an aftertaste, in my experience). In other words, the taste is unbeatable! Although all the flavors are exceptional, I highly recommend the “Cocoa” flavor. While the price is on the higher side, an app called Aisle often offers B1G1 deals, making it much more affordable.

I tried one piece of this cereal and have truly never tasted something so plastic-like before. It has the consistency of cardboard, however I got the cocoa flavor except it actually tastes like burnt plastic. Definitely not worth it and won’t be purchasing again, which is disappointing since this is grain free and high in protein, so it would be a great cereal choice if it actually had a remotely tolerable taste and consistency.

I love that this cereal has clean ingredients and has less sugar than other brands. I don’t feel guilty giving this to my toddler and we both love the taste! I can hardly tell it has chickpeas. The only con is the price. We go through boxes of these per week and at $7 per box, it adds up quick.

I thought it was weird to see that description. The cereal is mostly chickpeas. The plain flavor is sugar-free, but there is more sodium. I typically opt for the cinnamon, plain, or cocoa flavor for weight loss. Also, remember that plant proteins are typically heavy in carbs anyway and the protein is incomplete. Dairy, hemp milk, or rice milk will complete the protein.
