A: Hello and thanks for your question! The natural flavoring used as an ingredient in Tillamook Extra Creamy Unsalted Butter is a natural milk derivative called a starter distillate. Starter distillate is used to give unsalted butter a more prominent buttery flavor (since no salt is used), and it also adds an acidity which helps maintain the butter’s freshness over the course of its shelf life. Love this item- bring it back!! I am a hobby baker and make cookies for friends and family. This is by far the best butter. I've had to change my grocery shopping stores in order to find this brand of butter. Unfortunately Target was the last store to carry it in my area. They seem to continue to carry other Tillamook items. Please restock!!

At $4.99, it was expensive but the quality seemed like it might be worth it. When it shot up to $6.39 overnight, I decided I’m done with this product. It’s not organic. It’s not as good as homemade. It’s not worth the outrageous price. Especially when it’s not the best butter there is. It’s not the best ingredients. So it’s not worth the most expensive price.

Decent butter for the most part. So many butter brands have added so much water that it makes your toast wet and soggy and is just mush at room temperature. My favorite (Millerville Butter) is a little pricier than Tillamook but way better and worth it for some things. So I use this one in between.

Absolutely love this butter. Simple with just two ingredients - the way it should be. No “natural flavors” or crap like that. It’s spendy but you get what you pay for. We’ll always by tillamook!

I used to live in tillamook so i love the tillamook brand. I use this unsalted butter for cookies for pancakes for toasts. Doesnt leave a masty aftertaste and tastes pretty good i recommend it for sure if you havent tried tillamook brand stuff go for it you wont be disappointed

This was one of my favorite butters. Then I actually looked at the ingredients. Why are there “natural flavors” added? Completely and totally unnecessary. In case you’re wondering, the the USA, “natural flavors” means any food additive that originated in nature. But then food scientists can enhance and alter it to completely modify it. Please Google “natural flavors” and you’ll learn a lot!
