It’s true that they started out tight in the ankles and I almost returned them however after wearing them for a month or 2 the ankles do stretch out and conform perfectly to your foot’s width. If you can stand a few weeks of tightness you will break in the leather and they will be amazing. So cushy, soft and durable without being heavy like snow boots. I love these. I wear a 8.5 normally but sized up to 9.5. I have narrow feet so keep that in mind - it might not be as comfortable if you have wide feet or large calves.

Beautiful boots! However, they're extremely tight on the foot! I ordered a size 9, im.5'2 and weigh 130. My ankle/foot where the boot hits is unbelievably uncomfortable!!! What a shame because these boots are gorgeous. I was wearing leggings and thin socks for leggings and the boots were choking me to death
