Handy gadget!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who struggles with time blindness, I've tried different ways to battle it. This timer has helped me so much. You can see the time passing as the red gets smaller. It's a more concrete way of seeing time pass. I use it as a way to mark time but I've also used it to figure out how much time different tasks take. When doing the dishes, I set the timer for the amount of time I think it's going to take and if takes more time than I expected, I use a stopwatch until task is completed. Then next time I know what time to track for task. I use the square white boards to write down my reward for finishing an unpleasant task or to write the next 3 things I'm going to do. Time timer has helped me deal with my time blindness.

Two work great

Helpful classroom tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using a large 12" time timer to help my students be aware of how much time they have to complete a task. I appreciate the large easy to read timer face and the loud beeping noise. Unfortunately, the timer is also fragile, breaks easily, and almost impossible to repair. The clear plastic face protecting the time cannot be removed without damage and this prevents the user from fixing the time face should it become stuck. The product seems almost designed to be unrepairable, which is frustrating.

Reliable and so useful

This one is much smaller in size than the one I am replacing which I'd had for a decade or more, but it is plenty big. Kids can see it from anywhere in the room. Highly recommend this product to any teacher.

So easy to use
I use this as a speech therapist to help my students visualize how long our sessions are. It helps them transition when they hear the timer go off, they know the session in over and I have significantly less break downs because they have had a warning and they know what to expect. This helps me as well keep track of my session and I tend to be more punctual and I dont go over my time limit with my students. I even use the magnets on the back to affix it to my refridgerator while I am baking bread and cooking in the kitchen.

Classroom Timers

Time Timers Are Incredible

I use them mostly for the Pomodoro method these days, other times to motivate myself to get going on practicing music, sometimes for meditation. I deeply appreciate their design. Time timers helped me understand that design that works for all abilities and types of minds is simply *good design*. I literally am grateful I exist at the same time as time timers. I'm a total dork about them.

Love this timer!

It's worked perfectly with our classroom routines. My old one broke but I had it for 5 years and used it a lot so I knew I had to get a new one!

Great Timer for single use per day
The Time Timer is great for classroom use. I appreciate the size for every student to see in class. The problem I noticed is the frequent use in one class period. After changing the batteries, I noticed the red part of the timer wasn't showing up anymore after setting the timer. I could hear the ring when I would return to the 0, but I do not see the red part. On a regular basis, for my 50 minute class period, I would set the timer for the warm-up, guided notes and for the end of class. I teach 5 classes, therefore on a daily basis, I would set the timer at least 15 times a day. I am wondering if that was too much or I over used it. Overall, it is a great timer.

It helps students understand concepts of time and also allows them to plan accordingly for transitions. Unfortunately ours has fallen down from our shelf a couple of times at the fold out stand pieces have broken off. Wish I could find replacement pieces to fix it.
