[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 'visualness' of the timer, the pause button and the fact that you have to physically turn the dial all help me do my 'eat the frog' tasks, by making me calculate the amount of time i think it would take to complete the task and then physically turn the dial! If I get distracted or have to do another quick task, I can pause it easily. All this is better than an app, and dont get me wrong the app is great but having it as a physical presence next to my place of work really works for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OK. So I´ve had the classic 60m Time Timer (the small one that has a transparent base to flip as a cover for traveling) for a while. Got it on the pandemic to stay focused doing my Pomodoro Technique intervals during those strange times. But now—for my birthday—got myself this cutesy purple one that is really just for myself, purple is my favorite color since child, it´s 120m and it´s a reminder that my time is my life and therefore is valuable. I chose this model with a handle to carry it from my home office, to my home pilates studio, to the kitchen. With the aim to make sure I make enough time for what matters to me, like 2h of training/ meditating/ self care, doubled in 4h of focused work, 2h of resting and contemplating the trees. But also importantly to not give more time than necessary to things that I do out of convenience like 2h of dishes/ laundry, 2h of answering idle emails/ social media scrolling to watch the news. Honestly, has taken me years to protect my time/ life this way and some times just seeing the physical Time Timer there has been a reminder of setting boundaries and also to give myself permission to enjoy without rushing having plenty of time. Can´t send you picture of the purple one because it´s not my birthday yet and haven´t unboxed it but here´s the picture of the OG. And yes, eventually I want to get the big one to stick it into a kitchen wall exclusively for domestic chores or restful slow cooking. Mmm... Yes, I´m happy. If you´re reading I feel the best you can give yourself is TIME to enjoy life and these clocks help you to do just that—to make time to take your time. Thank you Time Timer!

How long it takes to make a move in chess, run from point A to point B, read a paragraph, how many jumping jacks (or excercise of their choice) in a minute. Easy to use!

I bought this to help my toddler with transitions. Concept is great, but the execution has been frustrating. The knob is able to be pulled off, which is great because I can set the time and take off the knob and give it to her and she can't change it. However, the button is the worst feature. My daughter instantly pushes the button and stops the timer. I even tried taping it down but she was able to push and pause it. It completely defeats the purpose of something that she can hold and look at. I often get frustrated enough that I just give up using it. If you are getting it for yourself and you have more self control, it would probably be better. Lastly, and this is not something that I am docking points for because it is not marketed towards toddlers, but I wish the battery compartment was screwed on. If it gets dropped even a foot, the battery back pops off and the battery falls out and that frightens me as a mother. All in all, good idea but doesn't work for our needs. If they had a version without the pause feature and even better with a screw in battery back, it would be perfect for helping with transitions in a young child.

I am a PhD student with ADHD and Autism and I've been in love with the 60 minute timers for a few years now. Recently, a colleague introduced me to these 20 minute timers specifically for starting tasks and I definitely have a new favorite! I've purchased 3 of these in the last couple months and I've been recommending them to everyone I know. These are portable, they have sound control, and they're really perfect for getting started because 5 minutes doesn't look like no time at all on these, so they're great for forcing yourself to stop an activity on 5-10 minutes as well as doing an activity you don't like for just 5-10 minutes.

We stayed using this timer with our 20 month old son to start teaching him to play quietly on his blanket with his quiet toys. We actually weren't sure it was going to work at such a young age, but the large visual counter AND the clear "beep, beep" at the end actually got my son so excited the first time we used it, that he wanted to play quietly for another 30 seconds! He actually claps his hands and goes, "YAY!" when the alarm beeps. It's super cute. We've been training him on "blanket time" for a little over 2 months now, and have worked our way up to 3.5 mins of quiet! My husband says that it's one of his favorite times in the day, because the entire family participates by doing quiet things on our own blankets. It's sometimes the only time of quiet in the entire day! Lol. Thank you for providing such a fantastic tool for the littles in our lives

Love this timer! I set the timer for 5 minutes and my daughter loves clean up time. I set the timer for 5 minutes and my daughter will sit and do a puzzle. Such a great tool! Thank you Time Timer!

I have been using time timers for years. In the past, they have broken easily. I love to use them but they did not last long. I always said that they needed to put a plastic cover over them so that children cannot break them. That is just what the company did! They also added a volume button on back. Awesome!
