Exactly as pictures
This crib rail cover looks just like the picture. When choosing this, remember that this only fits the long rail. The covers for the two sides are sold separate so be sure to choose the correct products that fit your needs. On this cover the ties are located on one side of the fabric and the other side of the fabric has button like holes that you pull one of the ties through and then make a knot. So far my baby was not able to untie it and it is a good protector to stop him from chewing the paint off of the crib.

Crib bite guards
I bought these because my baby was starting to bite the rails of the crib and the paint was starting to chip off into his mouth. These have been a life saver! They are easy to put on and take off. I throw them in the wash every once in a while and they fit back on perfectly. My baby can sometimes untie the knots but for the most part he doesn't. My baby chews on these and they do get pretty wet sometimes but the crib stays in perfect condition.

No more splinters in my babys mouth!!
At last, this crib cover was the solution we had been looking for. Our teething child was gnawing on the wood rails all the time. I couldn't sleep easy worrying about the fact that I'd find wood splinters in her mouth and crib. My only problem with this item is that they sell the cover for the long rail leaving the short rail exposed. So now my beaver has moved on to the other sides of the crib. I contacted customer support and apparently don't sell the cover for the short side. what sense does that make? Oh well, I'm thankful for the long rail at least.

Too small! My crib railings are too wide to tie the straps. It does say for crib rails 8 inches, so definitely check that!

Bought this to keep my kid from chewing on the crib but there aren’t enough straps to keep it tight enough so he’s able to just push it to the side. It’s useless.
