Q: Is this game on a physical cartridge or is it just a code on a piece of paper?

A: Unfortunately, it is just a game code in the box. There is no physical cartridge. If you look at the product image, it has a small white box near the bottom left that states full game download, no game card. This further proves it is just a download code on a piece of paper for you to download on the eshop. Convenient for kids who want to buy the game with their birthday money or those without credit/debit cards but less relevant to anyone who normally buys and downloads on the eshop.

I ordered the physical copy so I could have an actual game cartridge, but in reality it's just a case with a download code inside. If the description stated this I would've just downloaded from the console.
