I bought this paper to donate to a charitable organization. I cannot believe how expensive notebook paper has gotten. This was a good price, not great. Moral of story: Buy notebook paper when school supplies are on sale.

The majority of schools require 8.5"x11" paper for classwork and target/this company scrimped on this by 1/2" all around on the paper size is the most ridiculous thing ever. My bad for not ensuring it was the proper size but given that it was in the same section as other filler paper and a pretty standardized size of sheet in California at least, it was easy to make this mistake. PROMINENT sizing would be appreciated.

Norcom’s loose-leaf paper is quite a steal upon close inspection. One of its major benefits is being officially licensed by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, which ensures that it’s made of more eco-friendly materials and can easily be recycled. In addition, any self-respecting person looking for a good deal on paper would immediately be drawn to a price tag such as 99 cents, and rightfully so. Paper is affordable and expendable, but I got this product wondering how well it withstands the force of tools such as pencils and erasers when compared to the likes of printer paper. Both options are readily available to consumers, but have differing properties behind them that serve to differentiate their quality. In terms of durability, there’s no question that printer paper can withstand more pressure from tools such as pencils, erasers, stencils, and the like, which lends itself well for the sake of printing pictures and freehanded drawing. However, the upsides to it are rather minimal, as loose-leaf -- while being easy to bend and tear -- also outweighs printer paper in the way of functionality, ease of carrying, and most importantly, eco-friendliness. With its thinner structure and hole punches, not only does it allow for better writing capabilities with its lining format, but it can easily be carried in carrying cases such as binders, which can allow for usage beyond just a home environment. That said, it’s also worth keeping in mind that smudging and creasing is more likely to occur with loose-leaf paper than it is with printer paper. Norcom’s loose-leaf paper may not have a durability benefit to its name, but overall, it manages to be easier to tote around, not to mention being more environmentally suitable and having an upside in the writing department. I do believe this product is recommendable over printer paper in most scenarios, but it does have its limitations, including its durability against writing tools and how well it can put up a resistance against smudges or creases. For those looking for paper that can allow them to write things easier, Norcom loose-leaf is a good choice to consider.
