Q: Is this truly made in Brazil and assembled in the US? I recently purchased this saucepan from another vendor and it claimed to be made in Brazil and assembled in th US. I wasn’t. it was made in China.

  • A: Yes. This Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad 1.5 Qt Sauce Pan #80116/021DS, sold by Target (an authorized seller of Tramontina products) is made in Brazil and assembled in the USA. Tramontina manufactures different Tri-Ply Clad lines, where some are made in Brazil, and some are made in China. With increased access to the internet, products are susceptible to being sold by random vendors who may or may not be aware of the difference. We highly recommend purchasing your products from authorized Tramontina Retailers to make sure that the product purchased is what is advertised.     I have a Tramontina stockpot that I purchased about 16 years ago and it still looks new! These pots are high quality, can take a beating and still look good - and perform well! Love Tramontina!

    I love these saucepans! They’re beautifully made, sturdy, non-toxic, and are reasonably priced. I shopped for quite an awhile before settling on Tramontina, but am so glad I did. Excellent value. Also! After the saucepans arrived, I noticed that my favorite stainless skillet - one I’ve had and used regularly for 15 years - was also made by Tramontina!

    Good sauce pan at a great price

    I replaced a very old set of aluminum sauce pans recently. I found the 2 quart Tri-ply pan favorably reviewed on several culinary sites. The price was what decided it for me. But now that I have used it for several months the quality is what would bring me back and should lead you as well.

    Great pot with a few drawbacks

    This is a great pot except for two things: the handle and the straight sides. I haven’t yet figured out how to pour from the pot without making a mess (even when using a rod like the internets recommends), and the handle *looks ergonomic, but is a little too thin and square to hold comfortably and/or pour with, especially with the weight of the pot and the contents inside. The pot itself is heavy, very well-made, heats quickly, cleans up nicely with baking soda and a citrus-based cleaner or Barkeeper’s Friend, and the lid fits tightly. The overall quality is outstanding for the price. But I’m thinking about giving mine away after a year of trying to make it work.

    Very pleased with Tramontina cookware

    I'm thoroughly enjoying my new Tramontina cookware. I replaced my beloved 50-year-old Revere Ware because it didn't work well with my new glass top stove. I blamed the stove until my son told me I needed new cookware. He was right! I chose Tramontina and have no regrets. A big concern I had was that the first brand I considered was too heavy and unwieldy. I'm very pleased that my Tramontina pots and pans are well-balanced and easy to handle. Also, I don't know why they recommend hand-washing. I've been putting mine in the dishwasher and they still look great.

    Wish I bought sooner - won't need another

    I love the price and performance of this pot. The look is refined and it heats well, just like you'd think. I bought this to replace a calphalon item of similar design that had weathered over time and was unnecessarily non-stick coated. It's a great replacement.

    Love this Pan!

    I have always wanted a really good quality cooking set. Last year I purchased a complete set of these pans to go along with my newly remolded kitchen. They are a beautiful addition and work wonderfully. I use these pans nearly everyday, and wanted to supplement my set with an additional 3 quart pan - which is a super handy size in the kitchen. I was truly delighted to find out that I could order just this one extra pan, as opposed to another entire set. Perfect! I love it!

    Great stainless 2 qt pot. Deeper and narrower than the other make 2 qt I have. Fits really well on a small burner, has even heat distribution, maintains heat well and performs beautifully on an induction cooktop.
