A: Our Trim metal file is 5 inches long which is approximately 1.5 inches shorter than an average nail file. Thank you for reaching out.

This nail file has no handle, so it is hard to hold. And when it slips it is so sharp on the edges that it cuts through skin. Two people have been cut so far. Bad and dangerous design!

This nail file is too thick to get under nail edges, and the handle has an area that is very sharp with an unnecessary triangular cut-out. I usually prefer metal nail files over emery boards, but this is not a good one.

This file is too small (narrow), hard to handle, and has to be held just so if you don't want ragged edges created on what were smooth but long nails. It doesn't do the job. I asked for a refund since it's basically unusable.

this file was ordered because it was longer then most on the market... but, when it arrived, i find that there is NO Handle at the end .. this means that i am holding metal in my hand as i work on fingers or toes.. a real safety hazzard !!!

You do need to be a bit careful with this one. Rubbing it hard on the pads of my fingers I don't get cut, but the delicate skin under a nail or in the crease could be a different story. The 20 year old metal file I had was thinner with a plastic handle, and was more comfortable to use with a smoother outer edge. This one does the job and is cheap.

I purchased this product because I did not want to have another filer that got flimsy. However, I do have to agree with many reviewers who have reported cuts on their fingers while filing. It’s not happened once but several times at this point and it’s uncomfortable. Maybe those reviewers who have said we’re using it too roughly have thinner nails and that’s why they don’t need to put much pressure. I do not plan to purchase this product again.
